Washington Post Admits Bias for Obama, Calls Pro-Life Policies "Offensive"

by Steven Ertelt

LifeNews.com Editor

November 10, 2008

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- In a weekend article, the ombudsman for the Washington Post admitted that the liberal newspaper had a bias for pro-abortion candidate Barack Obama during the elections. The paper followed the article with a report on how the President-elect would overturn "ideologically offensive" pro-life policies.

I suspected that the off the wall attacks on Palin, post-election, are related to this issue and are coming from the feminazi wing of the radical left. Their dupes simply march in line.

No kidding!

And, I bet, they don't like Osama much either. They should be more balanced.

They should be more balanced.

Journalism used to at least claim to be that way (har har) until recently.

Nowadays the schools openly teach their students that the news was of less importance than what the journalist wanted the viewer/reader to 'take away' from the story.

Hey, at least they're being honest now. Hearst didn't exactly admit to things until it was over and done with.

Mining for facts and figures and throwing the rest away seems to be the only way to deal with "the news" nowadays.

I dunno, JT........IIRC, it was the Los Angeles or SoCal leader of NOW, or one of the leaders there, that came out publicly for Palin. And there were some others, as well.

They've attacked her clothes, her hair, her speech, her brains, her kids.............hmmmmmmm. About all that is left is Todd.......and they've probably secretly got the hots for him. He is fairly attractive, and his manly being would attract many, given the chance. So I guess I can see no attack there--unless they felt they were the woman/wimmen scorned, so to speak.

I daresay should he be interviewed, at length, and speak candidly, I would imagine the PTB would have a sheet-fit extraordinaire because they would be seeing two people that are of a like mind, or near like mind.

I believe that her 'handlers' found it difficult to stuff their bullshit down her throat.......they had fits anytime she would go off script, and she is not a 'scripted' type personality.

They're afraid of her and want to destroy her so that she cannot again run for higher office.

The McNutz people don't like her because she seems to have figured out that the plan all along was for McNutz to have a convincing loss and didn't want to play that game.

All reasons for the continued hate fest should be on the table. I have no dog in the abortion battle, so I'm not locked onto that issue for personal reasons. I do know that McCain could end this issue quickly by simply saying the Carl Cameron leaks weren't true. I don't expect that anytime soon, given his character.

I find it hard to understand that anyone would be surprised that a human creation, such as a newspaper, is biased. Anything created by a human is biased.

Every election season, all newspapers explicitly endorse particular candidates for public office and specific ballot issues.

How can anyone with an IQ above room temperature be surprised that any newspaper is biased?????????

By the way, so-called feminazis are not nazis, because a nazi is a racist, and so-called feminazi are definitely not racist. Women are the majority of voters, and they demand legal privileges for women guaranteed by Uncle Sugar. Abortion rights are one of the many legal privileges women demand of Uncle Sugar. Women are the bolsheviki, the voting majority faction. What you call a feminazi is really a femshevik.

Word History: The word Bolshevik, an emotionally charged term in English, is derived from an ordinary word in Russian, bol'she, "bigger, more," the comparative form of bol'sho-, "big." The plural form Bol'sheviki was the name given to the majority faction at the Second Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Workers' Party in 1903 (the term is first recorded in English in 1907). The smaller faction was known as Men'sheviki, from men'she, "less, smaller," the comparative of maly-, "little, few." The Bol'sheviki, who sided with Lenin in the split that followed the Congress, subsequently became the Russian Communist Party. In 1952 the word Bol'shevik was dropped as an official term in the Soviet Union, but it had long since passed into other languages, including English.

Rush Limbaugh, a blabbering bullshite artist, invented the term feminazi because he is a bullshite artist with an agenda.

McKooK threw his own wife under the bus, Palin certainly is no different.

What would be a real knee slapper would be for Palin to throw KooK and the party under the bus.

I don't expect anything from mccain either.

It should be noted that Greta said, when asking her about the bit about Africa being a country or a continent, that Greta checked, not once, but 2 different times with someone she knows who was actually sitting in on the briefing/indoctrination sessions in question, and Greta said she was informed that THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.

Greta asked her to explain how it got brought up or wondered how it could have come up. It seems they were talking foreign policy and Sarah said something about Darfur--and something about protecting Alaska's investments in various countries, and something about different leaders of different countries there. I didn't catch the full extend of what was said--my tv is in the other room and I was on the computer.

Feminazi is a wonderful term for radical feminists. I don't give a rats butt who uses it. I like it and will continue to use it. That said, the rest of your post doesn't apply to me since your wild assumptions have zero to do w/my political positions.

Good for Greta for actually being a reporter. She's the only one I know of who bothered to make a few phone calls. I don't expect fact to stop the left, tho. As O_I said, this attack is preemptive.

I didn't make any wild assumptions about you, nor was it my intention to do so.

If I conveyed that impression, I take back anything that I said.

If you were to use the more correct terminology of femshevik, the obvious deception inherent to the word feminazi would lose it's impact.

The use of the word feminazi by some people makes them appear ignorant by people with a little education

Say what?

Good heavens, now someone is assessing others "education"?

That is quite impossible, assessing your intelligence is very possible.

If you noticed, I mentioned the word "ignorant" when referring to users of the word feminazi.

I didn't say they were stupid.

Intelligence tests measure the degree of stupidity, not ignorance.

Ignorance is curable through education, stupidity is not.

Your words not mine.

You defined educated on your terms. What is unacceptable to you is quite acceptable to others. Defining by "education" is trite.

Once again, I don't understand your point.

People, through a little extra education, can be less ignorant.

That is a fact.

What is it about this fact that you don't agree with?

I showed a dictionary definition of the word bolshevik.

That was the extra little education I offered.

What is it specifically you disagree with...the dictionary definition or the assessment?

Bias is so obvious that there's no point in talking about it. You don't hear Fox News constantly making excuses for its bias for Bush, so who cares whether the Washington Post admits its Obama bias or not?

What's a lot more interesting is the common bias that Fox and WP share: whatever they think of Obama or McCain, they prefer both to a Ron Paul, a Bob Barr, a Chuck Baldwin, or even a Ralph Nader.

Or not.

Here's a dictionary definition of ignorant...

dictionary.reference.com/ browse/ignorant

1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man. 2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics. 3. uninformed; unaware. 4. due to or showing lack of knowledge or training: an ignorant statement.

Lacking in training is lacking education.

To be be less ignorant, you get educated.

Being less ignorant doesn't necessarily mean anyone is less stupid.

For example....Rain-Man (Dustin Hoffman) was very educated about phone book telephone numbers, but he was stupid as to use of phone numbers.
