Has anyone else noticed the shortage of powder, primers and bullets? I am having a hard time finding Winchester 748 and Varget powders, 55 gr. .223 bullets, and primers locally and at a number of online sources.

I saw two 8 lb. jugs of Winchester 748 at one online source late last night, and it was gone this morning.

In a way it is encouraging to know that people are really stocking up on this stuff, but it would also be nice to be able to get a little for myself. :)

I wonder if the NWO is crapping themselves at the moment?

I'm gone for the next 8 or 9 hours, but I just wanted to toss this out there before I left. Subscribe to *SHTF - Survival*

I doubt it. People have an enemy identification problem. They wont go after the puppet masters, they will go after the puppets.

This is the reason I am saving the ammo I have. The days of cheap milsurp ammo, and probably the components, is over.

I get sick to my stomach when I think of the thousands of rounds of south african I burned up. I used to get if for about $90 for 900 rounds. ARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

I know. 20-20 hindsight is buy 1 case to shoot and 1 to store. But I did my share of shooting up my stock too.

I dont know if you have a Gander Mountain near you, but they always seem to have a big selection of components, but they are on the expensive side in everything they sell. At least the one in Cedar Rapids did, as that is the only one I have been in. www.gandermountain.com/

Looking at their site, I dont find reloading components. They either wont ship them, or they no longer stock them, or they're hidden on the site.

Since it's taking 10,000 rounds to eliminate one 'insurgent,' there's no wonder that rounds are four times more pricey than they once were.

Sight it in, clean it, and let it rest is all that I know to do.

Hopefully the supply of 7.62X54R won't dry up. I've got 500 rounds now, might be time to get a couple of more spam cans.

I was going to buy a spam can at a shop in Albany, til they told me it was $180 for the 300 rounds. lmao!

They are all out of 8lb jugs of Varget and Winchester 748. Everyone is out of those.

No shortage of 223 at Cabela's in Manchester, CT.

Saw lots of 223 brass at Newinington Gun Exchange.

There has been an upsurge in firearms purchases in CT, but I've not seen a lack of ammo.

A friend in Buffalo told me that he's finding difficulty locating 12ga slugs and 04. Also, he went to an "upscale" dealer (don't recall the name). Said that persons were buying $2k rifles that didn't seem to have ever handled one.

Don't know what that means.
