Title: Girl Scouts go hard left – and downhill

"Change" was the buzzword for the Obama campaign. Change was also the buzzword at the 51st Girl Scout National Council Session and Convention held earlier this month in Indianapolis, Ind. It stands as further proof that change is not always for the better.

From the opening ceremony to the exhibitors in the convention hall, it is clear that the direction the Girl Scouts have chosen is a hard left, downhill.

These changes began in 1970, when feminist Betty Friedan was put on the national governing board. Then, partnerships were forged with Planned Parenthood, gun control advocates and other left-wing groups.

In 1980, the organization changed its policy on homosexuality and welcomed lesbians as scouts and troop leaders.

In 1993, the Girl Scouts put an asterisk by the word "God" in the promise and invited girls to tell the Creator to take a hike.

Patriotism has been replaced with globalism. This year, the traditional flag ceremony was trashed. The girls didn't respectfully carry the U.S. flag into the hall. Instead, it was bunched together with the flags of other countries and pulled in by a golf cart to the nonsensical – some say drug related – '70s Chicago tune "25 or 6 to 4." After the girls recited the promise, the band broke into "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire.

Editorals like this make one wonder just how low the Christian tares & Atheist Ashkenazim at WorshipSatanDaily will go. Those scumbags support murder, torture, immoral wars and then turn around and post this kind of crap on their site.

Anybody who allows this kind of crap to affect their decision to purchase the cookies which in turn has an impact on the young girls who are part of this organization is sick.

OK.

I am sick. I've been called much worse than that.

Say there was a group called Cute Rats And Porcupines (CRAP), but they are a mafia front for an organization that likes cute little animals when behind the scenes they do what criminals do, does that mean you hate cute rats and porcupines if you don't support CRAP ???

THAT is what they are using these girls for, as a FRONT for their agenda. If you have a girl in girlscouts, it's you that should be pissed of at them, not some website that exposes it.

Politics has no place in these organizations. These are children and we should not punish them for the acts and decisions of the adults. When a person writes this type of garbage it is evidence that they are either driven by hatred of another group or so frustrated by the failure of those they associated with that their goal is to bring others down in order to make themselves feel better.

Then I submit to you sir, that their leadership shouldn't have politicized the GS and harmed these girls.

Why blame the consumer?

You act as though we owe them something, which we most certainly do not.

Again, you focus on the acts of those who run the organization and ignore the children. Let me ask you a question.... I do not know if you attend a particular church or place of worship or if you are a Christian or not... if you know a person is a homosexual would you want them, invite them to attend your church?

First: I agree with what you wrote in #6.

Second..

They shouldn't politicize these children or the GS if they want my support. The adults, WHO KNOW BETTER, shouldn't take an org like this and use it as a soapbox if they want my money. It's predatory, and I'm not playing. If they want to turn little kids into some sort of gay hitler youth, they crossed the Rubicon with allot of us. I think that's a particularly "sick" thing to do..

Why I would support it is a REALLY GOOD QUESTION, for which I have no answer.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I'll answer it as honestly as I can simply because you asked.

Why would I throw pearls to pigs?

Just like active bank robbers, child molesters or drug users.. They need to quit the lifestyle before they can grow.

As it happens, some lesbians showed up at church for a while and no one ran them off. We're not like that. I don't think they got much out of the service, however.. It was the "thrill" of "shocking" all of us so badly that turned them on.

Fact is, people just felt sorry for them. No one was "shocked" at anything. Just sad... for them.

Faggotdom isn't the unforgivable sin, this is true.. But it's a dangerous condition regardless.

As a rule - No.

I don't actively recruit people who automatically reject what is written in the book which forms the foundation of the religion.

However, for example.. If a gay guy asked me about it and expressed an interest in changing his ways or otherwise didn't automatically reject the scriptures on the topic. (Like, let's say he knows and admits it's wrong, but he's addicted to it. Has trouble getting over it. Etc.. And wants to be a Christian.) That's a different story. That's just human frailty, not hubris and hedonism. It's someone who is flawed, and is acting in good faith. This is a different situation altogether, even though we're still talking about inviting a homosexual to church.

I trust you can see the distinction.

I hope that answers your question.

I understand what you are saying. When I start asking myself these types of things I always find myself remembering the following.

Mark 2

14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.

16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?

17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Luke 15:

1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:

12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

All True..

However, none of them rejected him or his teachings.

Remember what he told the Apostles to do upon leaving such a place and what the consequences would be for them on judgment day?

Again, human frailty is one thing. That's a part of all of us. As you say, that's why he came and that's why we require him for salvation.

It's a completely different situation from someone who willfully rejects Christ and the Scriptures.
