FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

People of Lakota Launch Private Bank for Only Silver and Gold Currencies

Hill City, Lakota - November 24, 2008 - In a stunning development, the Free & Independent People of Lakota announced today the introduction of the world's first non-reserve, non-fractional bank that accepts only silver and gold currencies for deposit.

"Today is a great day for us, a day that we begin to exercise our rights as a sovereign people with strength and pride," comments Canupa Gluha Mani, Tetuwan Council Judicial Member of the Cante Tenza "Strong Heart" Warrior Society. Mani's 2500 member warrior society has contracted to provide private security services for the Free Lakota Bank.

"We invite people of any creed, faith or heritage to unite in an effort to reclaim control of wealth. It is our hope that other tribal nations and American citizens recognize the importance of silver and gold as currency and decide to mirror our system of honest trade." Mani, also known as Duane Martin Sr, is a member of the delegation that declared Lakota independence on December 17th, 2007.

The launch of the Free Lakota Bank is also an incredible victory for StrikeForce Technologies, the access control experts providing depositor Out-of-Band Authentication. As the Free Lakota Bank does not require a name, photo identification or social security number to transact, StrikeForce's technology met the challenge of limiting fraud without requiring controversial biometric technology.

The People of Lakota invite depositors to establish accounts and invest in the Free Lakota Bank's General Investment Fund, the fund it uses to develop profitable free-market enterprise inside Lakota territory. Mani comments that the nation despises donations and charity, and instead insists instead on "earning our wealth by creating value for those that place their faith and trust in our system."

The Free Lakota Bank issues an American Open Currency Standard Approved currency, making it readily accepted for trade by over 10,000 merchants and businesses across the continent.

If this goes anywhere we can expect to see the alphabet agencies swooping in with their SWAT teams to put a stop to it. They are not going to allow any bank to operate that doesn't allow the feds track its customers.

I hope this Cante Tenza "Strong Heart" Warrior Society is up tp the task of killing some G-men. I'll be rooting for them.

They were sly when they designed the coins. They learned from BVN's experience:

Nothing on it says 'dollar'. It looks nothing like a US coin so they can't get them for 'counterfeiting' (how one counterfeits a counterfeit has always escaped me).

If they're trying to provoke a response, The Lakota might have just found the perfect place to make their stand.

Those are some nice looking coins

About the only thing that I can think of that would provoke a quicker response would be for them to declare that they will be legalizing the gowing of hemp and/or marijuana.

The Lakota already allow the growing of hemp. The Feds have been eating their ties over it.

I wasn't aware of that. I did find an article on it and it woold appear that the feds did swoop in with their goon enforcers and raid the farmer. There's only one guy that was doing it, Alex White Plume. Here's some info on it.

When it comes to Indian reservations, there's something that I always wondered about.

There are no federal laws against posession of most illegal drugs, only laws against transportation across state lines. All of the laws against posession and sale are state laws, which don't apply to Indian reservations.

Since Indian reservations have taken advantage of independence from state level law against gambling to cash in on casinos, I wonder why they haven't cashed on on legalized marijuana, prostitution, etc.

They better be up to it because it will probably come down to a choice between them and the tools of the bankers.

I kmew an Indian who told me another Indian had killed a man off the reservation, fled to the reservation, and the police could not get him.

On the other hand, he had to spend the rest of his life on the reservation.

Makes sense. AFAIK, state LEOs don't have jurisdiction on the Reservation. For prosecution of a state crime, you would need state LEOs to serve the bench warrant. Don't imagine it would work for a bounty hunter to try anything fancy on Indian land.

These are beautiful. One question. In the event worthless paper actually is finally recognized as worthless paper, how can a merchant tell that a silver round (as opposed to a recognizable silver eagle coin or pre '64 junk silver coins) is really made of pure .999 silver??

IOW, as a merchant, how do I know that these Lakota rounds or a "Waco round" I got from Rob Noel years ago really is .999 silver? Sorry to sound ignorant. This is a legitimate question. A scale to measure mass and beaker to measure density? Guess I need to ask my son the chemistry expert.

Very interesting. $14.50/oz if over 500 rounds purchased with free delivery. The round says FIFTY without saying 50 FRNs ... and it could be traded as representative of 50 FRNs as long as everyone trading them is willing to do so.

The address above contains a Zip Code for SD (Corporate Federal State-THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA). The Federal and STATE ("this state"} Laws would most likely be enforceable there.
