I live in Missouri (don't ask where; I'm not saying).

Missouri has never had a Primary seatbelt law. It does now.

I got pulled over today and given...a $10 ticket for not wearing my seatbelt -- which I do 99% of the time.

When the cop told me $10, I started laughing.

He didn't sign the ticket, or have me sign it, either. I'll just mail it in.

"I live in Missouri (don't ask where; I'm not saying)."

Let me guess, if you yelled, "HEY BILLY-BOB!" half the guys around you would look up and say, "What?"

That's where you live.

Pretty close.

Billy Bob's a good name, actually. Like Billy Bob Thorton.

Heh.

One time I was out on a military exercise in North Carolina in Billy Bob land there. We were all set up in a secure fashion next to a roadway in the backlands very much camoflaged up and hard to see.

A beat up pickum up truck with an obvious BB driving with a young hound in the bed stopped near us.

Mr. BB got out a totin' a gun and dragged the pooch out of the truck giving it a couple of brutal kicks before tying it to a tree.

It was obvious to us doggie was about to go to milk bone heaven.

We all collectively stood up at the same time, and he left in absolute panic and terror nearly crashing the truck as he tore off leaving the now lucky dog behind. (Maybe the fact we had lots of weapons on us had a bearing on this behavior by him, who's to say?)

The guy who adopted him named him 'Guerrilla.' He was sure fortunate that day.

We never found out who Mr. BB was or why he wanted the dog dead.
