Obama: Let illegals get aid for college

On Tuesday, Barack Obama called on California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger not to veto a bill that would make illegal immigrants who graduate high school eligible for college aid.

Schwarzenegger has vetoed a similar measure once before. Obama co-sponsored a similar measure when he was in the Illinois legislature.

Also check out this story from a Georgia-based writer which makes a passing reference to Obama’s education positions but compares the Democratic senator to Ronald Reagan.

Barry has "no standing" in state education affairs. Barry can take his "suggestion" and stick it where the sun don't shine. Screw this Limousine Liberal. Who asked for his Affirmative Action butthead's advice? The Governator is the highest elected official in California.

Illegal means illegal, Barry. If Mexican nationals want to apply to attend California colleges and they have THE QUALIFYING BOARD EXAM GRADES, then they might be accepted and in this case they need to pay international student tuition. If Mexican nationals cannot afford California college tuition, perhaps they might qualify for financial aid from the MEXICAN government to study abroad.

California's college aid should go only to California legal residents who are US citizens. End of story.

That is a perspective. You have your opinion, and I mine. I simply do not care if you do not agree, so what is the point of your affirmation here?

Surely you know by now I believe and say and actually believe what I express, I never write just to make someone happy about what I say.

What I submit though is that the particular fashion you express yourself here denotes a chip on the shoulder intolerance for my POV. I am hearing in here the anger of Obama being amplified into a mindless desire to look for scapegoats.

When you and others worse off then you calm down and really want to talk and not do the emotionally charged inquisition thingie, let me know.

Until then, I see no reason to join in if I look like just a piñata to you.

I was simply pointing out the FACT that you always write the word "THEN" when it should be "THAN" ... and vice versa !

Politically, I know you're an exercise in Obama worshipping futility, so I don't expend any energy towards that issue. I just wish you'd learn to use the words "then" and "than" correctly since most 3rd graders are able to do so.

Everyone has theeir foibles. Mine is I can no longer touch type and try to write as fast as I once was able to so my train of though doesn't run past the rails I lay down for it on the keyboard.

No doubt you see where I have been too impatient with the spell checker my clumsy since braking wrists and lower arms bad enough to need large bone grafts nesssitate for me to use.

Noted. I can do my best, but I imagine like everyone else in here, I will typo. All imperfect humans do that, C'est la guerre.

I could accept this lame ass excuse if you didn't operate the error perfectly. You use these two words backwards each and everytime that you use them. This isn't a mis-spelling or a typo but a mental error.

Above, the word "their" is mis-spelled or it's a typo, as is the word "though" which should have a "t" at the end of it, "thought" being the word you were attempting.

Your use of the words "then" and "than" in their exact opposite correct usage every time is something else altogether. It's almost inexplicable that you would get it wrong "PERFECTLY".

I'll desist in this badgering ... because your inability to make the proper choice of words is of minimal relevance compared to your acceptance of Obama's refusal to simply provide his birth certificate, a CONSTITUTIONAL requirement. The reason that this is important is that when we openly accept disdain for the CONSTITUTION in one respect we have implicitly relegated it to the trash bin, and it's the ONLY DEFENSE AGAINST TYRANNY excepting a revolution.

Perhaps you are pointing out an unconscious thing I am doing, who's to say? Suffice it to say I know what the differences in the words are.

Recently because of my brother's illness family members I have talked to who have not talked to me for a long time pointed out I have a minor stutter I never had before.

When I hit my head I put bad lesions from the right frontal lobe through my brain from the aprox. 40 foot fall to the pavement, which is why I was in a coma myself and came close to dying.

Much of it went away, but it's there. I also get comments my personality underwent a change.

When I was at the veteran's rehab unit in Vancouver, WA I started doing speech therapy, but the guy stopped it saying, and I paraphrase; "many whom I help have serious language impairment, you Mr. McCarthy have a great deal of language skill and you are fine, you don't need my help."

Sorry if I am inadvertently doing a malapropism with words, but I suggest that if I do, you rely on your gift of understanding what I obviously meant and leave it at that.

I am not perfect, and with all due respect, I doubt you are too.
