Obama: Let illegals get aid for college

On Tuesday, Barack Obama called on California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger not to veto a bill that would make illegal immigrants who graduate high school eligible for college aid.

Schwarzenegger has vetoed a similar measure once before. Obama co-sponsored a similar measure when he was in the Illinois legislature.

Also check out this story from a Georgia-based writer which makes a passing reference to Obama’s education positions but compares the Democratic senator to Ronald Reagan.

Barry has "no standing" in state education affairs. Barry can take his "suggestion" and stick it where the sun don't shine. Screw this Limousine Liberal. Who asked for his Affirmative Action butthead's advice? The Governator is the highest elected official in California.

Illegal means illegal, Barry. If Mexican nationals want to apply to attend California colleges and they have THE QUALIFYING BOARD EXAM GRADES, then they might be accepted and in this case they need to pay international student tuition. If Mexican nationals cannot afford California college tuition, perhaps they might qualify for financial aid from the MEXICAN government to study abroad.

California's college aid should go only to California legal residents who are US citizens. End of story.

Unfortunately I don't think he understands it. At one time, despite our different viewpoints, I thought Mikey capable of rational debate and an honest examination of the available evidence. However, I must admit that I was in error. Instead what I have gotten back are knee-jerk responses, communist catechisms, and fixed ideas which are forbidden to be examined. What I mistook for rationality, his rejection of the Bush Junta and its NeoCon mantras, was simply the reaction of a knee-jerk leftist for anything he, falsely, presumed was the position of the Right. He seems perfectly willing to convince himself that a totalitarian slave state is just peachy as long as it's run by "the right people". A slave is a slave is a slave is a slave regardless of which end of the political spectrum the "Massuh" claims to hail from. I don't think Mikey gets that - or wants to get it. Instead he seems to desire to live in his fog of mantras and catechisms regardless of how the real world shows them to be unwholesome. Like most leftists he thinks that unworkable tyrannical policies and proscriptions will work "if only the right people are in charge". "1984" is OK as long as it's a "Democrat" Fuhrer.

The other thing that his automatic leftist programming prevents him from seeing is that freedom for all is the path of greatest good. No, instead like most leftists, despite the lofty "caring" rhetoric, he simply desires, instead of a right wing despot, a left wing despot. Then there will be "manna" and "soma" for all. After all if you live in a totalitarian leftist misery you need "soma" in order to survive the spirit crushing hell which Mikey's kind would bring upon us.

There is nothing wrong with having idols per se. The problem is when that "idol worship" becomes a reactive fixation rather respect born of reason. When it reaches the point, where it has with some, that the image worshipped is not a true reflection of the object worshipped and the false image is treated as the reality then we have a reactive, and irrational, computation that can lead into all manner of bizarre conclusions some of which can in reality be quite foul. With the Obama worshippers the reality is quite different from their idolized image, but regardless of what evidence is submitted the idolized, and false, image is what is still seen as the reality. It's really quite deliciously insane when you think about it.
