I've read that when a black op takes place, there are usually MANY benefits expected.
The destruction of any evidence leading to the disapparence of 2.3 TRILLION dollars was certainly a major benefit for those involved, but it didn't stop there. The war in Iraq, the invasion of Afghanistan allowing for the Trans-Afghan pipeline to be built, the loss of freedom and imposition of tyrannical measure were ALSO major benefits.
There's also Silverstein's insurance money he received in regards to the destruction of the WTC, the destruction of the SEC investigation evidence related to various swindles that were destroyed in WTC 7, and probably a list of other equally important matters that we don't even know about.
