I just learned that Betty Page died a few days ago at the age of 85.

She had a very devoted following...Jennifer Connelly's character in 'The Rocketeer' was based on Ms. Page.

In the original graphic novel that the movie was based on; the character was actually named 'Betty'. It was changed to 'Jenny' for the film...

Just FYI, it's "Bettie Page", not "Betty Page". She was lovely, no question. Poor dear had a really hard life though. I hope she rests in peace.
