The war in Georgia will be remembered as the place where the American Empire fell on its face.

Well written narrative and some interesting comments among the 80 plus submitted, including:

"no more does the U.S. have the "high ground" of moral righteousness...its moral code the greater good for the greater number, stand for truth, liberty, justice and fair play..."

On the contrary, most Americans do, at least judging on the basis of my relatives there.

What has happened is that the pro-Israel lobby, neocons and duals under the umbrella of organized Jewry have hijacked the political process by funding congressional election candidates in exchange for Israel-first policies and have applied, especially in the foreign policy field, zionist codes of legality and morality which are no codes at all. America's Joe Sixpack is helpless in restoring legality and morality in the face of an overwhelming, regulation-based, stifling and meddlesome government bureaucracy infested with all sorts of special interests, sinecure seekers and of course, incompetence. Only a devastating Depression will purge the system in the least painful way to begin restoring standards of morality, legality and fair play.
