Are you in the Missouri or the Arkansas Ozark? I live in northwest Arkansas in the southern portion of the plateau and forest. I see you live on the mountain. We live at the bottom a broad valley, which has a once-seasonal creek that runs not more than a stone's throw from our front door.
One of the reasons we moved from California to Arkansas was to escape the hordes of refugees who will be crisscrossing this nation when the economy falters and fails. So, like you, I say, all you people in major cities, stay there when things get bad. If we catch you out in our neck of the woods, you're liable to meet my Jewish friend, Mr. Mossberg (if you catch my drift).
Oh, I now read that you are Springfield, Missouri. Do you live in or out of that city?
I live in Missouri. It was someone else who lives in Springfield, not me.
Lots of people here are from California and other places swamped by immigrants.
The whole place cracks me up. All the waiters in Branson are gay but don't bother anyone and I've seen Asian waitresses at Lamberts inbetween Branson and Springfield (the place where they throw the rolls at you?)
I was recently in Washington Mo, which is outside of St. Louis, and the new vet is from Oregon and a new doctor from Lubbock, TX.
I took my last girfriend to Branson (she's from the East Coast) and after about two hours there on the lake she told me it was the most beautiful place she had never seen and wanted to buy some land.
I know what you mean about Mr. Mossberg. There's all kinds of people buried in the hills here, and no one will ever find them.
