But that's their problem. If that's what they want, then hey, who am I to stop them? They can believe whatever they choose to believe - just don't try to force me to believe it too. I'm not saying that we shouldn't witness to them, but we can't force someone to believe what we believe just because we believe it. (Of course, that brings up whole other message about the necessity to have power in God so that your faith isn't just a bunch of empty words.) I used to sit in Muslim cafes in Africa and banter back and forth with them, all of us poking fun and arguing with each other. No one ever won those discussions, but of course there's no telling how much of a residue effect it had on their secret hearts, opening the door for God to deal with them later. One of the craziest ideas they hold is that if you die a hero for Allah, you get 70 virgins in Heaven. Boy, they really like that one! But I thought it was a perfect picture of how misplaced their faith was. First of all, you will never get me to believe that God is going to introduce sin into Heaven, no matter how much of a hero you were on Earth. 70 virgins! What are we thinking here? What, are they just there to wash your feet and cook for you? No, the whole idea is focused on unfettered lust! Do you really think that if you are a really good guy, you will be allowed to commit fornication in Eternity? How can that be possible if God is a holy God and hates - literally HATES - sin? Second, there is no sex in Heaven! Excuse me, but are you planning on dragging your old body of flesh up there so you can cater to it? What on earth would you want to do that for? Are you nuts? I want to get rid of this old thing. Not just to eradicate the old lusts and corrupt passions, but I want to get rid of all these aches and pains. (Believe me, you'll understand when you get to be as old as I am.) Besides, there is no male or female in Eternity. Ask the angels. Ever hear of them getting married? But third, who are these virgins, anyway? What, are they bad people that are assigned to be sex slaves for you? Don't they have souls also? Or is this their version of Hell, having to cater to your filthy lusts forever and ever? Of course, this could turn out to be a really huge trick on you. Maybe their 80-year-old hags dragged off the streets of Calcutta just to torment you. Wouldn't that be a hoot! Yeah, have fun with that one! The issue here is not just a conflict of reason, but of the incredible weakness of the mind of Man. We are the most adaptable creatures on the face of the Earth and are willing to twist reason to conform to what we want to believe no matter what the facts are. Are we as Christians any different? Only in degrees. Human flesh has a tendency to believe what it wants to believe. Why do you think the Israelites at the bottom of Mount Sinai were so quickly and easily swayed to worship a golden calf so soon after seeing God part the Red Sea? We want to create a God in our own image, and are dying to convince ourselves that He will somehow excuse sin - the basis of all heresies. Even the AntiChrist, who is as far away from the real Christ as you can get, will deceive even the very elect if possible. How is that possible? When we do not dive into the Word of God and immerse ourselves in deep prevailing prayer to find that secret place of the Most High. We cannot be led by the Spirit of God if we are not making God our dwelling place of habitation. So, in absence of a walk in the depths of His Word, saturated with prayer, we are left to being dominated by our own fleshly desires, and as a result, will be led like sheep to the slaughter. What a perfect, satanic plan! Make us think we're okay by letting us go to church and mouth the Doxology, but keep us from the liberty that can only come from walking in the Spirit of the Lord. Nobody said Satan was stupid. "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Timothy 4:3,4)

this is a very funny article. i have just one point of contention, i noticed he said this i dont believe there is any basis for that claim,. we will not have bodies but sill still be who we are / were., albeit more purified. and more to the point, angels are not the souls of dead humans or vice versa, so its not a legit comparison.
