Who Gets U.S. Foreign Aid

The U.S. will give an estimated $26 billion in foreign aid in 2008—70% more than when President George W. Bush took office (the figure doesn’t include funds related to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan). More than 150 countries get financial assistance from the U.S. Here are the six that received the most this year.

1. Israel	$2.4 billion	Virtually all of this money is used to buy weapons (up to 75% made in the U.S.). Beginning in 2009, the U.S. plans to give $30 billion over 10 years.
2. Egypt	$1.7 billion	$1.3 billion to buy weapons; $103 million for education; $74 million for health care; $45 million to promote civic participation and human rights.
3. Pakistan	$798 million	$330 million for security efforts, including military-equipment upgrades and border security; $20 million for infrastructure.
4. Jordan	$688 million	$326 million to fight terrorism and promote regional stability through equipment upgrades and training; $163 million cash payment to the Jordanian government.
5. Kenya	$586 million	$501 million to fight HIV/AIDS through drug treatment and abstinence education and to combat malaria; $15 million for agricultural development; $5.4 million for programs that promote government accountability.
6. South Africa	$574 million	$557 million to fight TB and HIV/AIDS; $3 million for education.

This yearly bribe is paid to Egypt in return for leaving Israel alone. Without it, Egypt could crush Israel any time it wanted to.

They got their asses handed to them last time they tried. They are afraid of Israel and they don't give a shit about the palis.

The yearly financial aid tab paid to Jordan is for the same reason - for the benefit of Israel's national security.

Uh huh, uh huh....such accolades about Israelis ( written by Israelis no doubt) and yet there is something that puzzles me greatly.

How come Israel's average national IQ is only 94? Israel's average national IQ is tied with that of Roumania and Roumanians had far more hardships to contend with than pampered Israelis due the largesse of the US taxpayer.

Numerically Israel's birth rate is far out paced by that of the Palestinians. And Russian immigrants are returning to Russia because the economy is better there and they are not treated as second class citizens in Russia as they are in Israel. It's this reason why Israel engages in genocide of the Palestinians - so Israelis will not be out-numbered and over-run in the near future. Cynicom is correct in what he said.

The root cause of Israel's aggressive behaviour is due to the US government's backing of establishing a formal nation out of thin air in 1948. The US (at the time) was a great benefactor as a result of WW1/WW2 and held overwhelming influence within the newly created and artificial body called the UN.

Without the UN creating Israel there would no doubt be continuing fractious behaviour but not on the magnitude we see today since 1948. America fucked upped, pure and simple and has provided weapons to Israel ever since.

The large population base of Muslims around Israel couldn't crawl through the cascades of barbed wire fencing to do much harm. That's why rockets shoot off on occasion to local Israeli cities by not just Ha-mas but other political groups as well ... to keep the Israelis reminded about their own plight.

They may have the capability but they also like living, just like the rest of us.

Go back to Krushchev and Mao. If you were paying attention, you would recall Nikita telling Mao, who had no nuclear weapons, that he could destroy the cities of China. Nikita had a good laugh over that.
