I found my old car out in a barn on mom and dad's farm. Such fond memories of my Gremlin. I patched a hole in the muffler with an aluminum can.

Ya really gots to wonder about a auto company that would name their car a "Gremlin".
"Satan / Cheney in "08" I always thought Caprice an unlikely name and image for a car marketed largely to families and older people.

Gremlins were cool. I always wanted one.
I shall not vote for evil, lesser or otherwise. Well at least Gremlin was truth in advertising.
"Satan / Cheney in "08" Actually, Gremlin strike me as a pretty good name for a small car, leaving aside the actual folklore. You have to admit, it invokes images of rebelliousness, stealth, and a wee bit of the occult.

I wanted to put a tweaked 289 and a 4 speed in one. :)

The name aside, (and the mechanical problems, too), it was a pretty cool car, with lots of room inside. Mine had a four-on-the-floor. I also had a Rambler, maybe a '66, I really don't remember. It was actually pretty mechanical sound, but was kind of a staid car, not fun like the Gremlin. I wish I had kept the Gremlin, worked all the kinks out of it, drive it around town.
