Title: Paul: Israeli acts in Gaza 'immoral'

Congressman Ron Paul condemns the violence in the Gaza Strip, saying the "collective punishment" against Palestinians is immoral.

"Many innocent children are among the dead. While the shooting of rockets into Israel is inexcusable, the violent actions of some people in Gaza does not justify killing Palestinians on this scale," said the outspoken Republican.

Israel launched Operation Cast Lead on December 27 against Gaza to put an end to rocket attacks launched from the coastal enclave.

At least 888 Palestinians have been killed during the Israeli operation, while some 3,700 others are reported wounded. At least 10 Israeli soldiers have died in the now 16-day onslaught.

Hamas, the democratically-elected ruler of the impoverished strip, demands a cessation of an 18-month Israeli blockade on Gaza before it stops rocket attacks on Israel.

The US Congress endorsed a resolution Friday to support Israel in its offensive in Gaza, "recognizing Israel's right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza."

Congressman Paul, however, says the resolution "clearly takes one side in a conflict that has nothing to do with the United States or US interests."

"At the very least, the U.S. Congress should not be loudly proclaiming its support for the Israeli government's actions in Gaza," Paul added.

The Israeli operation has entered its third week now, despite international calls and a UN Security Council resolution which urge an immediate end to the attacks against the densely-populated strip.

not only is the US gov proclaiming support, but it's sending arms. i heard Jack McLamb say that Paul, in this speech, said that Hamas was a creation of the Mossad.

On this issue, I have to part ways with RP. I am in favor of the near complete eradication of Islam. Even so, I would have still voted for him, and he is absolutely right that it is none of our business. We should not be sending any arms to Israel or any of those nations.

Who are you to promote the destruction of one the worlds major religions?

What do you know about Islam and where did you learn it?

I don't know what religion you practice but how would you like it if I advocated it's demise?

First, I am not Old Friend.

Second, the war between Israel and Hamas is none of our business. We should not be supporting either side.

Third, I am in favor of the elimination of Islam, the belief system, not muslims, the human beings. Islam is a sex, murder death cult and should be eliminated from the Earth, because they want to do the same to us.

Islam is a sex, murder death cult and should be eliminated from the Earth, because they want to do the same to us.

Mankind has been one of those for as long as we've been here, even before the 3 main desert religions came on the scene to spread their brand of death.

Yes, I agree. There are sex/death cult Islamics. I would also say we have clear evidence (turn on any television or go to any movie theater) that Zionists are also a sex/death cult. Destroying men, minds and morality is what they do and they do it well, regardless of the weapon..media, psychology or bombs.
Yes I believe that if any of these crazy religious zealots with idealizations of head removings and child rape were able to gain access, we'd all be dead. But since we're still here, we should ask if the problem is with the individuals that make up the death cult groups, or is it with the religions under whose umbrellas they alledge to practice?

The people perpetrating the Gaza slaughter are as Evil as the cultists chopping heads worldwide. The only difference is the technological advancements of the groups. They're all barbarians and huns.

The other sex/murder death cult is TheStateInc. There have been many such cults, but our version of this cult has perpetrated criminal acts no less heinous than the religious death cults or other State cults in history. It also needs to suffer the same fate as the relious death cults (even those death cults you've never heard of in jungles and rain forests worldwide.) All are Evil. All perpetrate destruction on innocents in order to project and perpetuate power. None of what one group does, however, justifies the murder of innocents, especially children/infants.

For all I know, these kinds of belief systems and the destruction they cause could have been going on since the stone age. Our species contains many Evil and ignorant groups and individuals. Perhaps there's a reason we are here on this prison ship called Earth. The other beings in the universe don't want us, or our rehabilitation is not going as planned.

Well put my friend. It's always convenient for the psychopaths to blend a little religion with their murder campaigns so as to lead the sheep blindly and ignorantly to slaughter others or be slaughtered themselves.

Each act should be judged for what it is not dissected into what religious belief system the perpetrator adheres to.

Well said. That is what I was trying to make clear in the post.
