Yeah, I'd like to implement a system alright..
It does let one know which direction we are heading in. Seems they are trying to get an early start. They have their plans. We have ours. Let's see who comes out on top. .

SUMMARY AS OF: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 - Amends the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to prohibit a person from possessing a firearm unless that person has been issued a firearm license under this Act or a state system certified under this Act and such license has not been invalidated or revoked. Prescribes license application, issuance, and renewal requirements. Prohibits transferring or receiving a qualifying firearm unless the recipient presents a valid firearms license, the license is verified, and the dealer records a tracking authorization number. Prescribes firearms transfer reporting and record keeping requirements. Directs the Attorney General to establish and maintain a federal record of sale system. Prohibits: (1) transferring a firearm to any person other than a licensee, unless the transfer is processed through a licensed dealer in accordance with national instant criminal background check system requirements, with exceptions; (2) a licensed manufacturer or dealer from failing to comply with reporting and record keeping requirements of this Act; (3) failing to report the loss or theft of the firearm to the Attorney General within 72 hours; (4) failing to report to the Attorney General an address change within 60 days; or (5) keeping a loaded firearm, or an unloaded firearm and ammunition for the firearm, knowingly or recklessly disregarding the risk that a child is capable of gaining access, if a child uses the firearm and causes death or serious bodily injury. Prescribes criminal penalties for violations of firearms provisions covered by this Act. Directs the Attorney General to: (1) establish and maintain a firearm injury information clearinghouse; (2) conduct continuing studies and investigations of firearm-related deaths and injuries; and (3) collect and maintain current production and sales figures of each licensed manufacturer. Authorizes the Attorney General to certify state firearm licensing or record of sale systems.
I just noticed something. You have to look at the legislation to see it. If you haven't saved a link to Thomas do so. I'd really like to know what those "other purposes" are, wouldn't you?
"Other purposes" are for when the Satan's cornhole club member that sponsored this realizes it won't fly so he/they fold it into the legislation to "Prevent Under-The-Bed-Monsters from runneling their clawed fingers through the intestines of little children" or riders this as an amendment on a bill to prevent the impending impact of a 2.8 mile diameter asteroid. That way, even the "unreasonable firearms enthusiasts" [read "us"] will pile on! It's fer the children and humanity dontcha know?!?!

That's common. That way they can try and hide some things in there before the bill is voted on. At least that is what seems to happen. .

I noticed the part about keeping guns away from "those who are not 18". This goes hand-in-hand with the government-school brainwashing curriculum that tells kids "Guns Are Evil"TM: by the time they hit 18 they're lost to the original cause of the Founding Fathers. I've got a gun plan, and it's not very nice.....
This is why it is important to take a kid shooting. My little brother came at me with that crap he learned at playskool. Then I took him shooting. Now he shoots more than I do. It works. Try it. .

If you "belong" to the "federal" system you should appreciate your Uncle Sambo keepin you safe. Give up your guns or your Socialist Security. We report you decide. Seriously, we need to rid the country of the "federal" reserve because they are behind all of these bullshit rules and laws coming out of their "federal" government.
I'd keep my eye on this bill but I wouldn't worry too much about it at this time. The Congresscritter who is sponsoring this bill has no co-sponsors. He's also sponsoring another bill "To provide for research on, and services for individuals with, postpartum depression and psychosis" which also is going to go nowhere. This Rep Rush, Bobby L. [IL-1] has stellar credentials. yuck, yuck According to wiki Rush is "...a former member and founder of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party." Well, he should be an expert on guns that's for sure but maybe not so much on postpartum depression.

Every time you turn around, there is another "stimulus package" being passed. The way I see it is that they are going down, and they know it, and are now reduced to grasping at straws to try and save themselves. Hence all the bailouts. I don't see them as the "all powerful" Illuminati luciferian conspiracy types at all. IMO that is all disinfo. I see them as psychopaths that engage in conspiracies to further their own agendas. They might use various secret organizations, but they do it for their own purposes. That they are crashing their own system is as natural as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. .

You are probably right. The push for Constitutional Conventions worry me though and I fully suspect they will try to push legislation as above through. I flat don't trust any of them.
