I am working on a number of projects at the moment, including, primarily, Absolved. (See below, "Just finish the fookin' book.") Yet for all of that, as we sit on the cusp of the new age that is Obamaism, I am drawn back to the Original Sin of Waco. Why? Perhaps because Eric Holder reminds me that many of the same Clintonistas involved in it (and members of the permanent government like "Waco Jim" Cavanaugh) are still around, older, wilier and emboldened by the unconstitutional powers given them in the intervening eight years of Bushism -- PATRIOT, etc.

I recommend to all Three Percenters who have not yet done so that they get copies of Mike McNulty's riveting documentaries on Waco. They are Waco: The Rules of Engagement, Waco: A New Revelation and his latest, The FLIR Project. There are many outlets for these works, and I could link them, but I would like you to contact Mike directly.

Mike is a man who has spent himself into penury in the pursuit of justice in this case, and if you purchase these works directly from him, or from the sources that he suggests, he may be able to generate the cash to continue his work. He has not asked me to do this, nor have I checked with him for permission to do so. I am doing it because I believe it to be the right course of action. You need the information and he needs the money. His latest effort, The FLIR Project, has an image that has, now that I have seen it, burned into my own memory.

It is that of FBI and Delta shooters, posing like big game hunters at what used to be the back of Mount Carmel, weapons held casually, while behind them in the rubble stares the empty eye sockets of a Davidian skull.

Mike has been prompted to return to the film making process by Obama's promise to give us a "Civilian Defense Force." Mike knows what that looks like. It looks like a Davidian skull staring in silent reproach at the backs of his proud murderers.

Mike's email is cops555@comcast.net. Drop him a line, and an order.

Those of you who already have copies of ROE and A New Revelation, dust off the VCR and watch them again. and after you do so, get this book.

I have been reading Hardy and Kimball's book with a fresh eye, again, for the same reasons I have returned to McNulty's work. They reminded me of one of the reasons we first had an AWB:

The rubble had not been cleared before agency investigations commenced; by late summer the resulting reports were delivered to the Secretary of the Treasury and the Attorney General. The Treasury Department Report concluded that, yes some mistakes had been made . . . The recommendations for improvement were to give ATF more money and power; they included more training for ATF's local SWAT teams, creation of a special national ATF SWAT team that would (like the FBI's HRT) train full-time and be issued machine guns, and restriction of private ownershiop of assault rifles so that ATF would always hold the upper hand in any conflict with civilians. (Emphasis supplied, MBV) -- P. 31)

Hardy also has this to say in his conclusion, and it is even more relevant today than then, if for no other reason than the fact that number of firearm owners and the number of firearms in their hands is even greater than it was then. (Note: All emphases in the quote below are in the original.)

While we are considering the agency whose conduct gave us the Waco incident, we might also consider the laws whose enforcement gave rise to the entire problem. To underline the question thus posed, we are dealing with a population of some 75 million gun owners, who are in possession of something over 200 million firearms, only a small percentage of which are recorded. This particular genie has been "out of the bottle" for some 200 years.

Here, the handwriting is on the wall: short of unbelievably draconian enforcement efforts, which would foment a resistance that would make the IRA's pale by comparison, those guns will stay in the hands of their civilian owners. Those owners are, disproportionately, the type of citizens who are the best underpinning of a stable democracy, and the LAST group a rational policymaker would want to alienate -- the type of citizens who vote, proudly serve in the military, pay their taxes, and take "duty, honor, country" and "semper fidelis" seriously. . . Historically, gun-owning individuals have been the segment of the population most likely to rise up and defend democracy, and certainly the segment most capable of doing so. These people are NOT innately anti-government: quite the contrary. They are inherently strong supporters of the nation, the government, the system, and are being DRIVEN INTO OPPOSITION by assaults on their values and insults to themselves.

The growing alienation of this segment of society has been deepened by the virtual media blackout of the issues it believes to be important. . . To secure passage of the (AWB) statements were made which can only be described as lies . . . Our point here is not the merits or demerits of the legislation, but rather that a sizeable and valuable part of our citizenry was left with indelible impressions that: (a) Congress could and would enact irrational laws, for no better reason than to offend, restrict, or annoy them; (b) Congress and the media could and would lie and fabricate to achieve this end; and (c) "the system" did not care about their interests, however logical and just -- IN FACT, IT TOOK A MALICIOUS DELIGHT IN OFFENDING THEM. This is a textbook formula for alienation of a large and valuable sector of our population, and for a public policy failure.

I guess you can call initiating a civil war "a public policy failure." Hardy wrote all of the above in 2001. Here we are, eight years later, about to go where no American has gone before, unless you count 1775 and 1861.

The original sin of Waco has not been expiated by punishment of the murderers who carried it out. In the intervening 15 years, those who did it and those who covered it up have merely advanced in government, rewarded for their participation in and being handmaidens of the mass murder of American citizens, including innocent women and children.

And now, courtesy of Obama, here they come again. "Send in the Waco Killers," as Vin Suprynowicz wrote.

They are coming.

Understand what they did and how they did it, and you will be better able to stop them this time.

But understand this most of all.

This time, we are ALL Davidians.

There is, given the total corruption of the Founders' Republic delineated in "This Is Not An Assault," but one way to deal with the unrepentant Waco sinners of past and future.

When they come for us this time in murderous attack, we must defend ourselves effectively and introduce them to God.

He'll sort them out.

Nehemiah 4:14 And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”
