Critical Mass and Red Pill Politics Bringing Allied Truths to Bear

"News is what people want to keep hidden. Everything else is publicity." Bill Moyers

For many truth advocates, the phrases "taking the red pill" or "dropping down the rabbit hole" signify the moment you start to see the big power picture behind the particular deceit you are focusing on. Whether that insight arrives slowly or in a flash, it reveals our political matrix and modern history in an entirely new light, a light which exposes the true nature of our rulers today and the path to disaster we are on.

Equally alarming, you recognize that our national nervous system, the mainstream media, effectively filters out almost all of that light, leaving We the allegedly Sovereign People chronically clueless and in the dark.

The illuminating moment can be triggered by many events. A brief study of pretext incidents like Pearl Harbor, Tonkin, Kuwait's "incubator murders" and, most especially, 9/11 dispenses red pills very fast. So do other deceptive assaults upon American lives, rights and democracy like those on the USS Liberty, Martin Luther King, Oklahoma City, and Waco, not to mention reverberating election fraud.

We don't know what event(s) finally pushed war hero and president Dwight Eisenhower down the rabbit hole, but his 1961 farewell speech warning of the escalating military-industrial threat to our safety and liberties remains a prophetic early snapshot of the big picture we face today.

"This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government... We must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes."

Ike's alarm went unheeded and his military-industrial complex has long since morphed into a ruling corporatist elite (now including drug, energy, media and financial giants as well) that enforces corporate interest with state power and threatens our democracy on every front. This malignant merger derives both profit and strength from increasing warfare, disease, consumption, insecurity, inequality, indebtedness and imprisonment--and thanks to current policies it is doing very well.

This corps group has a virtually unlimited supply of funds and force, but not the voting base to legitimize governance. Enter the Rove-scripted rightist radio jocks who churn fear, bigotry and support for ruthless leadership, and equally anti-democratic evangelical leaders who barter fear-driven votes for rights reductions and theocratic policies. The corporatists finally hedge those bets with the high tech wizards of vote management who can deliver swing state majorities with six flavors of electoral fraud. We don't know whether this unholy alliance ever actually held a strategy summit of its own, but its lock-step collusion across the last five years reveals a constant symbiosis and a formidable foundation for a rising Fourth Reich.

This triumphant coup's only apparent weakness is that it must be continuously sustained by public ignorance and misdirected fear. This is where and why truth and media activists have such a vital role to play. By fusing together enough censored truths and constituencies in one place at one time, we can bring our allied movements to critical mass, burst through the mainstream embargo, and reclaim the future and our past.

We therefore invite you to an emergency DC strategy summit among the leading US truth movements and alternative media networks for three interlocking goals.

* To illustrate how key official crimes and cover-ups have successively advanced an increasingly democracy-lethal agenda.

* To develop high impact media tactics to spread the red pill truth in time, and offer immediate political, legal and economic actions that can credibly start to turn the tide.

* To thereby rectify history, enforce justice, and reclaim our democracy and national self-respect.
