Mickey the Rescue Pug has been blind in his damaged right eye since he was a puppy. He had food aggressive issues, so I finally taught him to sit quietly while he eats out of my hand. He ain't pretty, but he's learning to be a good dog.

See that white wire? That's my steam cleaner. He's paper-trained and also runs to the door, but one of his problems -- bdesides his blind eye -- is that his original owners fed him people food and he has chronic diarrhea. The pug rescue cleared it up but it has come back from the stress in being in a new place. I've almost got rid of it and will probably have to put him on medication -- fortunately really cheap -- but occasionally he does have an accidnet in the house.

From my days as a Carpet Cleaner, have plenty of Soda Water on hand. Use it after you clean up the bulk of any mess, then damp the carpet. It lifts any liquid that may have gone into carpet. Then if still needed, you can steam the carpet.. but on that subject, make sure you use a Detergent based, not a Soap based Formula.

I bought some soda water and it does work just like you said. I had been using dish soap and it left a white residue on the carpet. The soda water took it right up, I'll just use detergent next time.
