'Nuke From Iran Within This Year'

Iran will have enough enriched uranium to make a single nuclear weapon later this year, the prestigious International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) predicts.

The think tank's Mark Fitzpatrick made the announcement at today's launch of its annual global review of military powers.

"During 2009, Iran will probably reach the point at which it has produced the amount of low-enriched uranium needed to make a nuclear bomb," he said.

"But being able to enrich uranium is not the same as having a nuclear weapon."

However, the survey reports doubts over US Intelligence estimates that Iran halted its work on nuclear weapons six years ago.

This points to Tehran's continued development of long-range ballistic missiles able to reach targets in Israel and beyond.

The IISS recommends a mixture of carrot and stick as the best international response.

It concluded a dual policy of engagement and sanctions, testing possibilities for Iranian cooperation while adopting targeted containment strategies, is the best way to deal with Iran's nuclear programme.

I find it rather odd that Israel rants endlessly about Iran having...a nuclear weapon... while they have 300.

Perhaps endless propaganda and hysteria is a means to some end for Israel???

My beef with you is that you want to nuke the Jews. That isn't right. You know it isn't.

As to Israel having nukes. Remember that they could obliterate Iran, Syria etc. But they haven't. Do you think the muslims would have the same restraint. You an American wants to nuke them. So I find it hard to believe that the muslims wouldn't use nukes against Israel.

For many years, Israel has had nuclear weapons, no one uttered a word about them.

Now all of a sudden Israel is in terror just perhaps Iran might have one bomb.

So what has been RIGHT for 30 years for Israel is not right for Iran??????

The Jews ALWAYS present and paint themselves as victims, always. No one else is ever a victim. The Arabs and Iranians have been living under the threat of nuclear weapons from Israel for over a generation but somehow Israel cannot cope with a parity of military weapons.

They better get use to it.

That isn't the truth. People have whined about it for years. Fact is Israel is a primary reason that they still are in exixtance because of their deterrence. Israel hasn't used them. Fact is Iran wants Israel to be gone.

Muslims aren't sane. To believe what they believe you would have to be insane. I mean worshiping a pedophile come on. Kill some innocents and you get a bunch of virgins. Yeah right.

So Israel hasn't nuked their enemies. Iran threatens to. Big difference. A nuclear Iran would be horrible for the entire world. Especially if they started using them. It would be better if there was no such thing as nukes. But there is and the fewer that have them the better we all are.
