Sinclair Lewis said that if Fascism comes to the US, it won't be the goosestepping, Germanic or Latin variety. Instead, "it will come wrapped in an American flag carrying a Bible."

The Bush admin's warfare/espionage state fulfilled Lewis's expectations to the last detail.
