I checked with a Turtle specialist and he said there is every indicatioin Turtle has indeed gone round the bend. His advice was to force Turtle into a car wash, de-shell him and undergo a through cleaning. The doc did warn me that turtle de-shelled would be a horrible sight plus the odor would be beyond compare.

Yes, I have heard that a sewer plant gone septic smells like roses compared to a de-shelled turtle.
