After some deliberation, which was made more intense by Suzanne L's farewell post to me this AM, I have decided to take a break from regular posting here.

There are just too many racists that have crawled out of the woodwork and have found a comfortable home here for my liking. There are too many racist statements that are being made and, worse, allowed to remain permanently. My association with such posters, in my mind, is a de facto sanction of rheir behavior. And while I have confronted it as much as possible, it’s increasingly apparent that it’s just not a battle that can be won here.

So, given this, I refuse to continue in that mode. I will be a lurker...this still remains a good clearing house for news articles both mainstream and fringe but my posting is going to decrease markedly from here on out. I have been thinking about this for a few weeks now and the ever repetitive, ever increasing derogatory references to Obama based solely on his race have just become too deleterious to any semblance of, even a modicum of, rational debate.

Goldi, herself, a few weeks ago, expressed exasperation that other sites have negatively characterized LP. Given the epidemic of overt racism that is allowed to be expressed here and has been given a permanent berth once it has been expressed, in my mind, justifies those characterizations.

Good luck everyone...it's been fun here...I wish EVERYONE health, prosperity and peace.

There are just too many racists

This happens to liberals during their final mental disintergation. They see racists everywhere. Or homophobes. Or antisemites. Whoever the enemy de jour is.

Important thing is to make sure leftists suffering from this do not isolate themselves in places such as Guyana . That is when what is personally destructive can become an epidemic of insantity.

Also important for other leftists to reach out and reassure an afflicted leftist that many of those "racists" or whatever are fellow leftists acting as agents provocateurs (very common on Liberty Forum).

However, it has become known that the site is little better than a hate site that specializes in pushing Israeli/Jewish Racism and justifying mass murder as sound policy. LP's Alexa rating has dropped off the map. At one time, before she started banning those who brought sound commentary which named Israel for the murderous racist STATE it is it was climbing. Now it has collapsed and is increasingly viewed as little better than a Propaganda Outlet dedicated to justifying war and murder against all of the Jewish Zionists perceived enemies - i.e., anyone who is not Jewish. I don't recall ever having the pleasure of confronting Veronica in her native personna, but I HAVE had some exchanges with Marguerite, who is one of the most dispicable pieces of shit I've ever run across. She attacks those who try to defend themselves against the foul postings of Byteshredder, where even if the victim just posts some rather civil response in defense of themselves, she hops all over that person by quoting Goldi's "rules on civility", but totally ignores the most obscene and profane attacks upon that person perpetrated by Byteshredder.

It's quite obvious that Byteshredder is just another stranded Clowne with no other place to disrupt, yet apparently Goldi welcomes his sort of vile antangonism along with Marguerite's profound hypocrisy.

No, nor can I remember his name. Someone here told me who he was. My vague recollection was that he was a minor player in the Party, a big wig wanna be. Perhaps someone who knows can PM you. Anyway, it makes sense that Kool-Aide drinkers would want to kiss his ass. Me? I don't give a shit who someone is or what their position is. If they are an ass I say so.
