Title: Taking A Break Source: war URL Source: http://www.libertypost.org Published: Jan 29, 2009 Author: war Post Date: 2009-01-29 10:06:22 by war 210 Comments

After some deliberation, which was made more intense by Suzanne L's farewell post to me this AM, I have decided to take a break from regular posting here.

There are just too many racists that have crawled out of the woodwork and have found a comfortable home here for my liking. There are too many racist statements that are being made and, worse, allowed to remain permanently. My association with such posters, in my mind, is a de facto sanction of rheir behavior. And while I have confronted it as much as possible, it’s increasingly apparent that it’s just not a battle that can be won here.

So, given this, I refuse to continue in that mode. I will be a lurker...this still remains a good clearing house for news articles both mainstream and fringe but my posting is going to decrease markedly from here on out. I have been thinking about this for a few weeks now and the ever repetitive, ever increasing derogatory references to Obama based solely on his race have just become too deleterious to any semblance of, even a modicum of, rational debate.

Goldi, herself, a few weeks ago, expressed exasperation that other sites have negatively characterized LP. Given the epidemic of overt racism that is allowed to be expressed here and has been given a permanent berth once it has been expressed, in my mind, justifies those characterizations.

Good luck everyone...it's been fun here...I wish EVERYONE health, prosperity and peace.

There are just too many racists

This happens to liberals during their final mental disintergation. They see racists everywhere. Or homophobes. Or antisemites. Whoever the enemy de jour is.

Important thing is to make sure leftists suffering from this do not isolate themselves in places such as Guyana . That is when what is personally destructive can become an epidemic of insantity.

Also important for other leftists to reach out and reassure an afflicted leftist that many of those "racists" or whatever are fellow leftists acting as agents provocateurs (very common on Liberty Forum).

Lord Almighty.... I sure hope that you don't mean he went crawling back to JimRob. That is about as dismal a fate as I can imagine.

LOL.

Never again. Quite the opposite, in fact. I so loathe the spooked-up fascist fraud that is the neocon-made-mad GOP, I'm actively rooting for (and voting for) its immediate destruction, even if that means empowering (and supporting) Dems (like Obama).

Many here consider that heresy and believe Obama and Dems to be interchangable with and equally evil to Bushbot neocon scum and other unrepentantly fascist and outright traitorous GOPers. I disagree, and believe the GOP must be utterly rejected, repudiated and ultimately destroyed, so that this country might outlast the Texan crooks and killer spooks that maintain possession of its howling-mad now-hollowed-out husk.

Are you an old time FReeper? Do I know you?

Go Pat Go!!!! old friend!

Yeah, I gave out so many clues earlier on this thread about my long-time screen name that even Roy Orbison, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder could figure it out.

I understand your wrath for the GOP. Once Duncan Hunter withdrew from the primary, I threatened to do the same thing out of pure vengeance. But when McCain picked Palin for a running mate, I figured she was worth voting for, even though I couldn't stomach McCain.

So like you, I suppose I find some degree of satisfaction that the Obamanoids have wrestled power away from the backstabbing, neocon-globalist Free Traitors in the GOP. But I certainly don't expect them to do anything that'll fix the economic mess that the country is in. At best, The Pigmented Messiah might actually build the Maglev I've been waiting for all these years as one of his infrastructure projects. That will help. But any benefits from infrastructure improvements are going to be far outweighed by his silly social service sector inititiatives. Those "investments" might produce some illusion of prosperity by keeping some WalMarts open, or some ghetto neighborhood abortion clinics and liquor stores. But those kind of businesses don't produce any lasting benefit, and the money will simply go flowing back to China while we sink even deeper into debt than we already are.

Not much to cheer about these days...
Except, of course, that I know the backstabbing GOP weasels are gonna be hurt worse than me. LOL!
And maybe I might finally get to see a Maglev built in the short number of years I have left to live on this planet.

Ah.....Arator. Rooting? We aren't talking about the Kansas City Chiefs, or Penn State football. Since when did "rooting" for either wing of the National Political Bird become an option for an informed individual? Your interesting choice of words is revealing; your once rational thought process has been reduced to the very sheeple-like choice between an R or D. Unfortunately with either we're talking about socialism and the ever growing central government they promise. The “team” (a Clinton 3rd term) that you cheer on will eventually imprison us all with a continued flood of illegal aliens, high taxes, and layers of draconian law. And have I mentioned the certainty of more ILLEGAL war coming from your guys? Please tell us what Afghanistan did to us and why Obama is intent on ramping up that mess?

So break out the pom-poms and cheer your boys to victory and remember, your absence here isn't related to heresy, it's about an inability to logically defend your support for Team Obama.

Go Steelers!

I don't expect to see Arator anytime soon. He has literally turned to the dark side.

He's an Obama supporter, right?

I can't fathom the thinking that leads somebody who supported Buchanan or Ron Paul to become an Obamaphile.

But as far as I'm concerned, Old Right Buchananites and Ron Paul libertarians turned "liberal" Obummerites are no more perverse than those who hopped aboard the Mad Mac/Caribou Barbie neocon bandwagon.

Agreed, and the fact that they could hop on EITHER one of the Globalist NEOCON wagons tells me they weren't ever on the same page with Pat or Ron (or that they were some of the duller and weaker instruments).

I don't recall ever having the pleasure of confronting Veronica in her native personna, but I HAVE had some exchanges with Marguerite, who is one of the most dispicable pieces of shit I've ever run across. She attacks those who try to defend themselves against the foul postings of Byteshredder, where even if the victim just posts some rather civil response in defense of themselves, she hops all over that person by quoting Goldi's "rules on civility", but totally ignores the most obscene and profane attacks upon that person perpetrated by Byteshredder.

It's quite obvious that Byteshredder is just another stranded Clowne with no other place to disrupt, yet apparently Goldi welcomes his sort of vile antangonism along with Marguerite's profound hypocrisy.

While Veronica reincarnated herself as jazzfan and lanquid, I do not believe she is also Marguerite for the simple fact that Veronica/jazzfan/lanquid could not go a day without calling someone an anti-semite for disagreeing with her (and it didn't even have to be Jew/Israel related).

Marg is despicable in her own right.
