All that kid needs is for someone to "light him up" for that and he would stop that stupid $#it pretty soon. I can't imagine just standing there and taking it like that guy was doing--and out in public too.
Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end. I had a nephew who acted a bit like that in stores. Once he told me he forgot how to walk, and lay down on the floor. I just dragged him along the floor by his hand, and really soon he decided he could walk again. No one in the store said a word, but I got some smiles.
Well now citizen, if anybody (such as a mom or dad) were to "light that kid up" in public, there would be many cellphone calls to 911 bringing forth a swarm of "peace officers" to correct such incorrect thinking...
That commercial should be shown at all high schools across the nation.

Too many kids get away with stuff like that. I don't think anyone should actually abuse children but I don't think it is abuse to correct them when they are wrong and to show them that bad actions can have negative consequences.

About the first time a kid pulled a stunt like that with me I would drag him out of the store and when he got home there would be consequences and repercussions. I know that if you tried to discipline the little darling in public you could be sent to re-education camp but you don't have to do your corrections in public. And it wouldn't take many of them before he would be a polite young man when he was out amongst people.

Well yeah, sure he does. But in the pc society that we have been saddled with, that is frowned on and too many busybodies think they need to take it upon themselves to make sure that they help everyone else discipline--or not discipline-- their children. Not that they are going to help in any other way of course.
