Free speech means that I have a right to express or spew thoughts and words of preference, love, hate, or anything with which another may disagree. That said, the rules or policies of this forum, which is my private property (see this forum's Mission Statement), are that members can exercise free speech as long as they (1) do not make a specific threat against an identifiable person or target, (2) earnestly debate or discuss the relevant issues that are part and parcel of this forum's reason-to-be. First, I should clarify that Rule #1 includes fellow posters. As you all know, I have a very liberal and tolerant free speech policy here. There is no rule against ad hominems or profanity. However, I have noticed of late a marked increase of both to the point where it's become most unsavory and is setting a tone that, I feel, is beneath us as reasonable and mature adults. Other than the two specified rules to which I expect adherance, no one's speech is constrained, so I'm requesting that you please employ self restraint. You know who you are. ;)

Folks are becoming more interested in the prospect of salutary homicide than in 20th century social rhetoric.

4um Traitor It's ironic that with the whole worldwide web at your fingertips you chose to make this place home. Obviously there are places where you'd be a star and very little rancor would ever erupt because folks there who share your politics would find you fascinating and a real asset. Perhaps you like being pummeled and simultaneously feeling that it's your destiny to improve christine's character? And, you didn't feel obliged to seek her leave before heaping up steaming ladles of character building advice on her, right? I never thought that I'd have to bring this up to you, but, I actually had to tell two very nasty boys at Liberty Forum that talking with chris is a privilege, and then jerk both of their tickets. (And, YES she respected my decision because I was serving as her "lawyer" at the time and she never dialogued with either of them ever again.) Would it serve any purpose to point out that you invite controversy, and that you obviously don't feel the need to ask anyone's permission before offering your opinions about them? And, you are intelligent, polite and sensitive enough to know when you're frustrated and lashing out, hence a different standard applies when I make unsolicited observations concerning you. And, frankly I was a little disappointed to learn that you posted under a phony screen name and denied it when asked if it was you. (several months back) So, having seen that it's not out of the realm of possibility that you use your eloquence to hide a childish and willful stubbornness, and at times a tad of intellectual dishonesty.
And how is someone who here is making an impassioned rebuttal of the First Amendment and the right to free speech by dehumanizing and calling for the death of those who do not agree with you respect for this country or it's constitution going to impress anyone with nonsense such as you serve up here? You are a baby, who's mind and heart resonates more with fictional villains who fight fictional bat men and their implausible cinematic antics then with our founding fathers, and what they believed and build. You have not a single idea of what they fought for and why, you just are to full of notions of destroying all opposition, which is a fascist mindset, not one of a man who cherishes freedom and the inalienable rights of human beings everywhere. I wanted to get in touch with a couple of folks Goldi's rude and irrational banning of me I could only touch via an account there, and it allowed me to have a bit of fun around election time at LP. Your criticism is noted and I respect it. If fact, for the most part, I have learned all I had to learn from exploring the tactics of opening returning bannee accounts at places like the Free Republic, and part of this being so is because I do recognize when and when now when it is pointless, or a waste of time. Thanks for the feedback, hope mine here to you helped some. I would also point out to that I knew quite well I was obviously being myself and recognizable at the end of that account, I obviously was not hiding.

4um Traitor Heh, I really like Dr. Paul and he would be an exceptional POTUS. I have always always always stated very plainly stainly one, that I do not agree with many of his proposals. I respect his leadership ability, common sense approach to things and he would be better at healing the rifts that divide us as a people, so I was right to support him in the primaries. I noticed I said I have been a disruption at Free Republic and LP. Then ultimately owned the efforts. I supported Ron Paul in the primaries, and I was disappointed he did so poorly, and see where this lack of support was manipulated. I at no time ever claimed to be a proponent of many line items on his personal agenda, so Rot's whine is pointless. That he does not understand you can disagree with someone yet still like or even support them is in fact the central notion that is the keystone to his personal problems here. Not to mention it is the root as well of his apparent love of the fascist passion to utterly destroy any opposition you might have politically or socially.

Well, you differ in opinion about Barack Obama then I, so I do not share your sense of there being cognitive dissonance to how I ultimately decide whom to vote for in the general election. There was pragmatism to both my support of Dr. Paul and the eventual winner of this election. either man is a perfect fit for my belief system, but I have come to terms with that. I am glad Ron Paul is doing what he is doing. But I am and always have been pro amnesty for illegal immigrants, and other things he likes, I don't. And I never made that a secret. Thus this contrivance of an alleged deceit by me for my willingness to take the leap of faith to support Ron Paul in the primaries holds no water. I would never support a Chuck Baldwin, for POTUS, but any man or woman of deep integrity and personal courage and leadership ability is what I first look for when deciding on someone, not their ideology. And yes, I know that in your world that sounds irrational, but it works in mine.
