Poster Comment:In the movie and novel, Josey Wales was Scots-Irish and from the Missouri Ozarks, as were some of Turtle's ancestors (actually from Poplar Bluff, Missouri). The rest of Turtle's ancestors were Scots-Irish from Tenneesee and Kentucky, except for the German part from Alton, Illinois. The names Wales, Welsh, Welch, Walsh, Wallace (Turtle's real name) are all variations of the same name. The U.S. will not be saved by the nancy-boys on the East and West coasts. It will be saved by Midwesterners and Southerners (most of whom are Scots-Irish, too). Turtle even knows how to use a double-action pistol.
