Surely tom007 will come up with a photo of this cardboard cabin to be!
He has learned his lesson not to make fun of Turtle since I flogged him and the other Buckwheat bellhops with my Brain. All are now appropriately cowed.
The articles, and other things, makes me wonder if the wrong people won that war, and what this world would be like if Hitler had won. So much history is BS that it's hard to tell fact from deliberate lies.

Don't wonder, read "Mien Kampf"(sp)(My Struggle, Hitler's own blueprint for the future of Germany with him as their Supreme Leader.
The German race was to rule the world, and the rest of the races were to be their slaves, in short.
No informed person can have any question about what the NAZI's were about. Gangsterism is really what they were - and the fact they managed to swindle the German people into supporting them is a frightening note for our times.
This is what God wanted, naturally.
Why God couldn't make it so and needed Hitler is never satisfactorily explained, at least to me.
We should have stayed out of the war, and at least supported the Germans against the Jewish Bolshevists of Russia.
Nah, what we should have done is minded our own business. Same with WWI--if we hadn't gotten involved in that bs there would have been no WWII. What difference did it make to the United States that Archduke Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated? How many people in the US knew or cared who he was or even where or what Austria was? I doubt many could have found it on a map and doubt many could today. And it is a pretty sure bet that when they started yammering about the good Archduke the people in the US scratched their heads and said, "Who?"

Quite actually that was the response of most people in Europe.
To explain, the assassination has become, by quirks of reportage, became the start of WW1. The act was just a small spark that ignited what was already really ignited anyway.
Nobody cared about the Archduke anyway, certainly not Carl Franz who denied him a royal funeral, as well as a decent one.
But it gave a fig leaf of cover for Austria to do what it was going to do anyway - punish the Serbian nationalists disrupting the Hapsburg's hegemony in their empire, which was falling apart.

tom...
Just observations...
Germany did not occupy more than half of France. The only resistance in France was the FLN (communists). Dozens of German and French photos show Hitler touring Paris and not a weapon in sight.
Hitler wanted to demolish the Vatican, the army said no. Hitler wanted to use gas and the military said no. Germany had troop contingents from all the Western countries.
Hitler and many Germans hoped that England would stand down, withdraw from the war but world Jewry knew what that meant, the death of communism, once again Britain and the US had to be forced to fight to save communism.
Hitler as the last gasp effort denuded the Eastern front and tried to eliminate the Wesrern front and failed.
The articles, and other things, makes me wonder if the wrong people won that war, and what this world would be like if Hitler had won. So much history is BS that it's hard to tell fact from deliberate lies.
This is the first I've learned about this part of WWII.
Of course we can only guess what it would have been like if Hitler had won.
It's hard to know what happened without being there, but if some of the bullshit that we're taught about what's going on now like the JFK assassination, OKC bombing, 9/11etc. are an indication then we can be sure that what we're taught about what happened then is as much if not more BS.

Hitler would not have won the Final Battle against Uncle Joe and the Bolshevik-NKVD mass murderers.
Nor would Uncle Joe have been the victor.
IF Communist sympathizer, FDR, along with his Zionist advisers, had stayed on the side-lines of the war merely supplying Stalin on the QT to help him continue fighting the Naziis, then Hitler and Stalin would have fought each other to a draw and their own peoples would have over thrown both totalitarian strong men, and their despicable coterie.
The world would have ended up being a much better place as a result.
Don't wonder, read "Mien Kampf"(sp)(My Struggle, Hitler's own blueprint for the future of Germany with him as their Supreme Leader.
I have it already. I got it to only read the chapter on war propaganda and skimmed thru the rest. I suppose I should read the rest of it, but that chapter on propaganda was an eye opener.
No informed person can have any question about what the NAZI's were about. Gangsterism is really what they were - and the fact they managed to swindle the German people into supporting them is a frightening note for our times.
I suppose it depends on who does the "informing".
Everything I learned about history in school was shallow crap. Sheeple feed. The deeper I dig the more rotten it gets.
So, who to believe?

Yeah, tell me about it...
I dont see Hitler as a "good guy". From his service in WW1 he was brave. But I think he was nuts. He had a good grasp of the problems but his solutions destroyed the Germans.

I see the Buckwheats still have not learned their lesson to treat Turtle with the appropriate respect that is His due.
If any of you make fun of Turtle ever again, or his Brain, or any of his Organs, whether major or minor, Turtle will visit on you humiliations galore.
Turtle can, with just a blink of his Brain, make your junk disappear, not that it would that hard, since all of you suffer from microjunk anyway, and probably haven't used it for decades, except for self-abuse to the point of idiocy!
I suppose I should read the rest of it, but that chapter on propaganda was an eye opener.
It is a awful read. One interesting thing is that Hitler, smartly, would not allow the book to be translated into any other language. He knew exactly what the response would be.

I have rarely if ever thought of Hitler as a good guy. Some people do see it that way which makes me wonder. Mostly I guess he was just a puppet like all the rest. Was there ever a head of State that wasn't?

Pat Buchanan says something similar albeit with greater historical detail for support in his latest book "Churchill, Hitler, and "The Unnecessary War": How Britain Lost Its Empire and the West Lost the World."
Some cut and paste from a reviewer on Amazon:
"...The Second World War came about, Buchanan believes, as a result of Britain's disastrous guarantee to protect Poland (which it was incapable of doing anyway). Hitler did not want war with Britain, as evidenced by the fact that he never attempted to build a strong navy. If Germany had moved east and had the democracies not intervened, Buchanan opines, Germany would have run into the Soviet Union and the result would have been a Nazi-Soviet war that the democracies would have watched from the sidelines. The totalitarian nations would have pounded each other to death, while the democracies would have had a chance to rearm and become stronger relative to a decimated Germany and a decimated Russia (and China might not have gone Communist, meaning that millions might not have been murdered there)..."
If Turtle was to send out the tiniest of his Thoughts toward you
If Turtle actually HAD a "tiny thought" or even a miniscule one or anything in between he would declare it a red letter day and ask someone to petition the government for a national holiday. And you know daz rat!
