About 20 years ago I saw the 1965 James Stewart movie "Shenandoah." It has never been on TV again, and that is no coincidence.

It's about the War Between the States, but is not pro North or pro South. It's mostly anti-government and pro-family.

I just got it from Netflix but haven't watched it yet.

"Shenendoah" is the only song I can play on the harmonica.

That's not true at all. It's on of my favorite Jimmy Stewart movies and I watch it several times a year, usually on AMC or TCM.

I meant regular broadcast TV. Cable is a different story.

I've always suspected media owners don't want people to see this great film.

Oh. Do people still watch those channels? The only time I turn to them is if there's a tornado watch in the Springfield area.

I remember going to see that movie when I was a kid. I went to a friend's birthday party and we all went to the Saturday Matinee at the local theater.

Even as a kid I was a civil war buff and really enjoyed it. I wanted to see it again and it took decades until AMC showed it. It was just on a few weeks ago.
