I have a friend who is kind of a conspiracy theorist. He was trying to convince me that the many of the digital TV convert boxes that our coming out have microphones and cameras built into them. Knowing a bit about electronics I bought one of these devices opened it up fully intending on proving him wrong. To my surprise was right. This device has both a miniature camera lens and what looks like a microphone. I was so shocked I took pictures and video Please send this out to every one you know who is using one of these devices.

Alex Jones talked about this at the beginning of his show today and it appears to be either a hoax by some joker or planted disinfo. Per Alex he had a couple of engineers in his office look at a couple of identical Magnavox boxes and there was no camera or microphone. He said further that per the same engineers the microphone in the video did not appear to be attached and that there was no logical place in the circuitry to hook it into the circuit.
While Alex would not go that far out on a limb my guess would be planted disinfo to discredit the fact that people are beginning to become aware of the pervasiveness and sophistication of the surveillance technology that is actually in use. Examples that are documented are such as your computer's camera and microphone, phone taps by the NSA, your cellphone etc., ...
