VID CLEARS COP VICTIM By LAURA ITALIANO February 24, 2009 All charges were dropped yesterday against a disabled truck driver whose severe beating at the hands of a baton-swinging cop on the Lower East Side was caught on video. "I feel beautiful," said Michael Cephus, 47, as he left Manhattan criminal court talking with his lawyer on the phone about suing for malicious prosecution. He sustained a cracked knee cap and multiple bruises last July 4, when Officer Maurice Harrington hit him 10 times with the metal baton on Delancey Street, the video shows. Cephus, accused of assaulting the cop, had faced up to 15 years in prison. Harrington, under investigation, is on modified, no-gun work status, officials said. "Without that video, it would have been a whole different story," Cephus said, thanking the two anonymous bystanders who slipped the film to his friend - before they, too, were arrested for disorderly conduct. "We'd really like to talk to them," said Cephus' lawyer, Steven Orlow.

Perfect example of why niggers shouldm't be cops. Or lots of white guys, either. Fire 90% of the police, arm all the citizens, and crime will drop 90%. Bobbies in England weren't armed for a long time, except for a nightstick. Now they are and wear body armor. I wonder why?

The standards of today are far different that they were years ago. What I see as routine today was an anomaly way back when.
I agree with one exception. with the advent of cameras everywhere we are now catching what went unreported before.
True and I'd add that years ago this cop would be a pariah. His life would be made miserable by his peers and supervisors. Today, they look the other way.
Or encourage it.
You left out the high-fiving & back slapping part.
Seems to me they used to be called 'Peace Officers'. Today they're "Law Inforcement Officers".
Bullshit. He probably thought he was going for his taser. Hey, if someone else here used that excuse, then so can I.

See they arrested the ones who took the video too, Thank God the pigs didnt steal and destroy the video!!! the cameraman should sue also for false arrest and conspiracy. and etc. See, the pigs were willing to have this victim go down for almost 20 years for NOTHING!! this makes me sick and is why more people need not be afraid to film cops. Yet many cops would say it's outright illegal to film them. Just outrageous. This is a saver.
Glory to God in the highest, and Peace to His people on Earth. Even though the nig is now on the rubber gun squad, I doubt that he'll be fired.

I'm guessing that the brass has seen it. But, if he's beefed his sgt or LT or other cops for "racism" then he may go off on a psyche pension after "cracking under stress from the racism that permeates the department". Kunstler would have loved this case.
I actually learned to respect Kunstler after time. His sidekick, Ron Kuby, was far less likeable. Yeah, he might take a psych plea and leave the job and the law suit in the lap of the city.
but the sheiks would shriek and the barons would bellow if hemp was made legal...and people became mellow
