Miserable overcrowded traffic in California

Actually, Whites have been fleeing California for years now, but this is the latest article on the topic. Looks like the bloom is finally off the Left Coast rose and California Dreamin; has become a nightmare.

A recent news article reports 60;Mike Reilly spent his lifetime chasing the California dream. This year he57;s going to look for it in Colorado.With a house purchase near Denver in the works, the 38-year-old engineering contractor plans to move his family 1,200 miles away from his home state57;s lemon groves, sunshine and beaches. For him, years of rising taxes, dead-end schools, unchecked illegal immigration and clogged traffic have robbed the Golden State of its allure. Is there something left of the California dream? 56;If you are a Hollywood actor,57; Reilly says, 56;but not for us.57;61;

I57;m shocked. They actually mentioned 60;unchecked illegal immigration!61; Even a year ago, I don57;t think that would have made it past the politically correct censors. Then again, it gets a little hard to write news articles about California going broke, or White people leaving California, or California public schools getting horribly overcrowded without mentioning illegal aliens.

The article notes 60;Since the days of the Gold Rush, California has represented the Promised Land, an image celebrated in the songs of the Beach Boys and embodied by Silicon Valley57;s instant millionaires and the young men and women who achieve stardom in Hollywood. But for many California families last year, tomorrow started somewhere else. The number of people leaving California for another state outstripped the number moving in from another state during the year ending on July 1, 2008. California lost a net total of 144,000 people during that period — more than any other state, according to census estimates. That is about equal to the population of Syracuse, N.Y. The state with the next-highest net loss through migration between states was New York, which lost just over 126,000 residents.61;

New York, of course, is also full of illegal immigrants driving out native-born Whites. The alien population in their largest city originally came from Jewish ghettos all over Europe. Later a wave of swarthy, hot-headed immigrants from Puerto Rico plagued New York City. Nowadays, New York is full of turban-wearing cab drivers and a racial diversity, that outdoes the ancient Babylon in the Bible.

The article continues 60;Why are so many looking for an exit? Among other things: California57;s unemployment rate hit 8.4 percent in November, the third-highest in the nation, and it is expected to get worse. A record 236,000 foreclosures are projected for 2008, more than the prior nine years combined, according to research firm MDA DataQuick. Personal income was about flat last year. With state government facing a $41.6 billion budget hole over 18 months, residents are bracing for higher taxes, cuts in education and postponed tax rebates. A multibillion-dollar plan to remake downtown Los Angeles has stalled, and office vacancy rates there and in San Diego and San Jose surpass the 10.2 percent national average. Median housing prices have nose-dived one-third from a 2006 peak, but many homes are still out of reach for middle-class families. Some small towns are on the brink of bankruptcy. Normally recession-proof Hollywood has been hit by layoffs, the erosion of home prices eliminated over $1 trillion in wealth.

This is what happens when you allow uncontrolled Third World Immigration. Not only do White people have to suffer crowded conditions and hopelessly clogged traffic more typical of Hong Kong or Mexico City; they must pay sky high taxes for the public schools and free medical care for the hordes of Third World poor who are making their lives miserable.

Although the state's population continues to grow because of immigration, more people left California in the last half of the 1990s than moved in from other states, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report released today.

More than 1.4 million people in the U.S. migrated to California from 1995 to 2000, while 2.2 million left -- the highest migration numbers in the country. That exodus is "unprecedented," said Hans P. Johnson, a demographer with the Public Policy Institute of California, an independent San Francisco research organization.

It was the first time since 1940, when the government started keeping statistics on domestic migration, that the state had lost more residents to other states than it gained, the Census Bureau said, although its overall population increased from 32.7 million in 1998 to an estimated 35.1 million in 2002.

In the mid-1990s, demographers had anticipated that the exodus of Californians in the early 1990s -- due in large part to recession, riots and natural disasters -- would slow, or even halt. But that was not the case, according to these new statistics, the most definitive available.

The largest numbers of people who left California moved to Nevada, Arizona and Texas -- about 200,000 to each state. Nevada and Arizona are the two fastest- growing states in the nation, the report said, followed by Georgia, North Carolina and Florida. Large numbers of people also left California for Washington and Oregon.

A June report from the California Department of Finance that used annual U.S. Census survey figures from March 2002 notes that "a greater number of persons annually leave California for other states than enter California from another state

There are a number of possibilities why Californians have headed elsewhere, including housing costs, economic factors and relocation of retirees, said U.S. Census demographer Jason Schachter.

Domestic migrants who left California in the late 1990s were more likely to be unemployed, less educated or living in poverty than those moving into the state, according to a report in 2000 by the Public Policy Institute of California.

"The No. 1 reason people move to and from California is because of jobs," said Johnson, who wrote that report.

The link between migration and the health of the state's economy was evident in regional growth patterns.
