Oh, absolutely! After all, you only have to look around you to understand how well man is doing on his own! And, before you go off the deep end, since you are one of those who so little understanding, you might consider this; 1 Cor. 14:33 For God is [a God], not of disorder, but of peace. Which also means that He is a God of order, and not of disorder. So, how much order and peace do you see around you? Any at all? If you think this thru, then you will begin to understand how little the religions of this world have to do with God.

you are quite right; that is all we have. We do not change it, or add to it, or subtract from it. At all. All we do is study it. And your figure above is quite in error, esp. the one dated in 1919. The Witnesses openly admit that in 1919 they did not understand correctly. As a for instance, 1926 was the last year that they celebrated Christmas. BUT, they have worked hard to learn from Scripture and correct their errors. Coming right out and admitting, publicly, that errors were made as they came out of Babylon and the teachings of Babylon. You know, kind of like the Roman Catholic church, which in 2002(?) admitted that its 1800 year old teaching about hell was in error. Right?

I noticed that the reporterette, Anne Thompson, started off her monologue with "Freedom of religion, a bedrock principle of the American way of life...". Why the hell won't they give the SECOND AMENDMENT the same 'reverence'??? As for the death of 501(c)(3) businesses masquerading as churches, it can't come quick enough.

No, that's all YOU have. I have much more. And you are sadly mistaken if you think even for a minute that the scriptures you hold so dear haven't been added to, changed, or subtracted from. You need to do some serious research on how the cannon was developed by men, men with an agenda. And no, the Catholics are no better. None of the Abrahamic monotheistic religions are true because their base is in error. Not that I give a shit though. You're the one wasting your life. I agree completely, although I am not concirned about it as Jehovah God has the solution well in hand, as is detailed in the Book of Revelation.

Which strongly illustrates the difference between me and you; my faith is in Jehovah God, and not in papers written by, for and enforced by men. And this refers specifically to the Constitution, which is one of the most deeply flawed documents ever written, as I have posted about endlessly, back when.

If you had even a clue as to the force and power in Scripture, you would not make such a silly statement. To even consider that Jehovah God does not have the power and wherewithal to protect His Own Word is really quite foolish. But then, such is the blindness of people of the world.

Indie, have you ever read the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures? No? Well, guess what? I have. In addition, as I have mentioned numerous times, I have about 12 different translations of the Bible, AND, I started my studies using a King James, which I checked against the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. I checked other translations as well. Do you know the difference, Indie? Easier to understand. That is it. OK? Who are The Watchtower? Answer: Men. And, who was Jesus Christ? Oh, right, a man. 1 Timothy 2:55 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, So your point is? And as far as your point about explaining the Scritures to the Witnesses, as many, many have told me after they have been around the Kingdom Hall for some time, they never had any idea before of what it meant to ACTUALLY study the Bible. No one lies to people who study the Bible for 40 or 50 years, Indie, hard as that is for someone like you to understand. But that means study it! Not set it on a shelf and look at it's cover daily. It means actually opening it and reading what it says, and doing so daily, as most of my friends do. After you do that for some time, THEN, and only THEN, do you begin to understand the power and the beauty, as well as the great wisdom, within the Bible. You should try it sometime, Indie, with people who actually try and live by what the Bible teaches. You would, just as I was, be amazed at the difference.

You've just denied the deity of Christ with your extra JW Bible comma and changing "the man" to "a man" in 1 tim 2:5 The JW are so good at that. I broke my pledge as well not to respond on these threads. Back on the wagon.

OK, Indie. So lets do it differently; what was Paul? Oh, right, a man. What was John? Oh, right, a man. What was Matthew? Oh, right, a man. What was Luke? Oh, right, a man. What was Mark? Oh, right, a man. What was Timothy? Oh, right, a man. Need I continue? I mean, there are a lot more apostles and early church fathers that can be named, and unless I am mistaken, all of them were; Oh, right, a man. Then you can start with the Old Books of Scripture and name Moses, Noah, Isaiah and etc. And they were? Oh, right, a man... each and every one of them. The point being, Indie, that Jehovah God has NEVER had a problem using men to do His Work on the earth. And generally speaking, you know when such men are correct by the fruitage of their work. Let me give you an example; in 1919, when the leading elders of the Bible Students (to be named Jehovah's Witnesses in the 1930s) were arrested and charged with sedition (for not supporting WWI), there were a total of several hundred Bible students. Today, there are more than 7 million Witnesses in 230 lands world wide, with more than 6.5 million Bible students learning about the Bible. As an example, it is estimated that there will be needed (and built) more than 300 Kingdom Halls in Mexico THIS YEAR. I expect that the number of baptized Witnesses will exceed 8 million by the end of this year. This is happening in a world that is losing its religion, because this is not a religion; it is a way of life. Hope you are paying attention, Indie.
