As of January the University of Texas secured nearly $224-million in research funding, up from $180-million a year ago. This does not include research funds from Congress' $8-billion science stimulus allocation. The current larger amount still will fund less than ten percent of the University's research proposals (compared to the funding of 25% of submissions six years ago).
POSTER COMMENT: Encouraging to see that in an area where the U.S. excels things are not being cut back.
