Editorial See other Editorial Articles Title: Diamonds weren't always a girl's best friend - The Amazing things Whites in Africa did... Nobody writes enough, nor comes close to appreciating what Whites in Africa did when they ruled the place. Blacks especially do not even recognise a fraction of what we did. Recently, in a report on the rise of NAZISM in Europe, I saw a statement by an ex-SS Officer, in Austria, who is now 85. He said this:- Personally, I agree with him. If the blacks starved to death, then it would teach them the many benefits and values of whites who came to turn Africa into an agricultural dream which brought untold wealth and benefits to nations here. Do you know, that almost 100 years ago, German farmers in Tanzania were farming something like 200,000 acres! That was at about the time of WWI. In the Kenyan highlands, 60,000 British turned the place into heaven on earth, until the Mau Mau destroyed them. You can go all through colonial Africa and you will find example upon example of farms, massive factories (employing thousands, even tens of thousands of blacks), and mines (employing hundreds of thousands of blacks) which were created by whites under colonial rule. Most of those businesses no longer exist. But all through Africa, in dozens of black countries, you will find amazing remains of the work of, at times, only a few thousand or at most, few tens of thousands, of white colonists WHO CHANGED ENTIRE COUNTRIES. If you will look through colonial history, go and see how many Black African countries had a white population of 5,000 - 50,000 - FOR AN ENTIRE COUNTRY - which might be larger than France. (Some African countries are half the size of Europe, and probably only had 30,000 whites in them). And these massive, mega-countries, were completely transformed by white colonists. And some of the efforts those whites went through ARE NOW LOST TO HISTORY. Do you know that on the massive lakes in Africa (I'm sure some of them are a match for the Great Lakes of North America), there were large ships! During World War I, there were NAVAL BATTLES FOUGHT AMONG WHITES USING SHIPS ON THE LAKES OF AFRICA. I've read accounts of ships, which were brought thousands of miles overland about 100 years ago. Those ships were placed on lakes deep in Africa. Some of the feats of engineering which whites pulled off in Africa are amazing. Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe was the biggest man-made lake in the world in the 1950s when it was built. Cahora Basa was the biggest man-made lake in the world in the 1970s when it was built. South Africa's national highway system, which is up there on a par with the best anywhere in the West, was built at the height of Apartheid, and it still serves the country to this day. But the blacks take most of this wealth for granted. The blacks imagined that taking over Africa was like tapping an oil well. The oil always was there, and now that they have the tap, the oil will continue to pour out by itself. WRONG! The blacks did not know the oil was there to begin with. Much of Africa's wealth was created by savvy whites who realised potential and then made plans to exploit it. Often, due to lack of infrastructure, the whites had to be extremely creative. But by hook and by crook, by the sweat of their brow and by thinking clever and cunning thoughts, the whites took simple things and made tons of money out of them. Malawi in its day, produced tea that matched that of China. Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), was the tobacco capital of the world, and its beef was among the finest. South Africa was the gold and diamond capital of the world. Now the lure of gold is obvious, but the lure of diamonds is not so obvious. There is a largely untold story about diamonds. The blacks have taken for granted many amazing things that whites brought to Africa. It required HARD WORK, GREAT PLANNING, and a lot of business and intellectual savvy to pull it off. The blacks then came and DESTROYED IT AS IF IT WAS NOTHING. But we had done AMAZING THINGS, and SWEATED BLOOD and used every trick in the book to pull it off. It was Cecil John Rhodes and others who took diamonds and made diamonds a fad of the world. Probably the most brilliant advertising campaign in history was pulled off by a South African whom few know. Diamonds were NOT always a girl's best friend - Harry Oppenheimer's dad, Ernest Oppenheimer, pulled off one of the most greatest advertising coups in history. He went and took diamonds and equated them with LOVE (I think this was in the 1940s). His advertising campaign ran in the Western world, outside of Africa. It created a surge in demand for diamonds outside Africa. Ever since then, they implanted in the female mind, the lure of DIAMONDS. It changed the world, and now every woman, everywhere wants one or more diamond rings. That advertising campaign created a massive market for diamonds that has never gone away. They not only created a massive market, but by using very cunningly designed monopolistic business practises, artificially elevated the price of diamonds ACROSS THE EARTH, AND KEPT IT HIGH for almost the last 100 years. De Beers, a South African company, runs a ruthless worldwide diamond cartel aimed at artificially keeping prices high. It might not be a good Free Market business practise, but it made truckloads of money for South Africa and gave South African business some amazing leverage! Blacks don't take any note of amazing achievements which were carried out quietly RIGHT UNDER THEIR NOSES, and which transformed entire countries and this continent and took it from the Stone Age almost to the First World (in some places). Whites in Africa, did many things, great and small things that people have forgotten, which enabled us to get a grip IN A TOUGH COMPETITIVE WORLD. We pulled it off. We managed to trade and make huge profits when the odds were stacked completely against us. The blacks in Africa - all across Africa are struggling to TRADE. But the Whites pulled strings and went out, without any financial support and they took on, AND MATCHED, the BEST COMPETITION IN THE WORLD. And the Whites still pull it off, when they get a chance. Pick 'n Pay, the supermarket chain in South Africa last year won the award as the best retailer in the world. Even the white mayor of Cape Town, Helen Zille, won an award as the best mayor in the world. Blacks completely underestimate, and realise the potential of the very white people among whom they live. The very white people on their doorstep, are totally underestimated. Blacks do not appreciate what we've done in the past, and blacks do not appreciate RIGHT NOW what we are capable of, if they only ASKED US to help, and DID NOT STAB US IN THE BACK AFTERWARDS! But so far, they destroy our hard work, and our cunning ideas without a second thought. So I agree, if blacks destroy the farms, let them suffer the consequences. Let the corpses of blacks line the road. Let them learn, for once and for all, that the White man did do things that were not only of tremendous value but it kept them alive. It even allowed them to breed like rabbits. Now they want to destroy us. But let them confront their own ghosts and realise what we did for them. They think we did nothing, but that's because they are ignorant of much of what we did. We did more than they even know and can appreciate. WE MADE SUCCESS LOOK EASY. But it WASN'T EASY. I have spoken to a farmer in Zim, who is now in his 70's. His life's work, his farm, was destroyed. He told me: All he wants is his money for his farm. He told me he sweated blood and poured his whole life into his farm, which Mugabe took away and trashed in the blink of an eye. He said, he would NEVER put that sort of effort in, or even THINK of trying farming again. The blacks have DESTROYED a lot of white good will, and the blacks do NOT act fast enough, and with enough firmness to repair the damage. What the blacks don't know is that whites will probably NEVER AGAIN, put the effort into Africa which they did under colonialism. They lost most of our trust. On this continent today, the following is true:- Africa is a continent with an indifferent black population and an indifferent white population. When whites OWNED STUFF, they fought for it. Now that they don't own stuff, they don't care. The blacks are too lax and too cowardly to fight even extreme evil on their own side. The blacks are too racist to defend whites even when the whites are beneficial to them and have had their lives destroyed. The onus now is on BLACKS to lead and solve problems, but the blacks are too COWARDLY and too INDECISIVE to even try. Whites don't trust blacks to lead them because black leaders are too wishy washy and spineless. The Whites aren't allowed to lead, and so they just look after their own asses. Africa is now a place, WHERE NOBODY OF ANY RACE CARES ANY MORE. We all sit back, and see evil prosper, and just save our own butts. We do no more than that. WE DON'T CARE. The only people who care, are the evil who prosper and who destroy any dissent against them. This continent is dying because nobody gives a sh*t. The Blacks don't. The Whites don't. The West doesn't. And the East never did.
