In that case, you might want to also stop using your phone, because an Israeli company, Amdocs, processes something like 85% of the billing data for most of the telecom carriers. The eviil joooz know where you live, whom you call, and for how long (and they've known it for maybe 20-30 years).

Your SS# is now pretty much public information and is mandatory for drivers licenses as well as medical/healthacre transactions - even clinic visits. And Amdocs, like the NSA, could be spying on citizens of other countries, or do you only get concerned when other animals infringe upon the more equal status of the NSA? RSA chips are 'dumbed down' to enable the NSA to decrypt traffic. I could go on with what companies do with "Data Mining". The point is our "private" lives have been made an open book, with our cooperation, by the US government and US companies. The information that could be "leaked" by your firewall is known to every router through which you communicate, and products like Media Player and Real Player are already acknowledged to be user installed spyware. China can buy Magnequench and Global Crossing. Did I say that or advocate it? No. My issue was the fact that immediately you went into using 'evil joooz' and no one that I saw said one thing about the Jewish people. So who has the agenda here? Certainly not me. I am concerned about any tracking period of citizens but more concerned about foreign countries no matter WHICH country it may be. Amdocs sees billing data and some CRM provising data (ie how long was a call, to what number and the cost, and where to send the bill, and sometimes what kind of equipment or service change you've requested). But never the content of your calls, emails, faxes, etc. Our own NSA is analyzing that. And obviously Amdocs is not analyzing router traffic or store traffic. Get a clue.

Now that I'm set straight on that I'll make sure I remember that in the future.
But when the Israeli's buy a firewall company, now all of a sudden there's a problem that merits boycotts. Communist China and Israel are both of concern as the FBI claims both are spying on us. Currently, China does not have the equivalent of an AIPAC in our govt. Yes, they certainly have managed to "obtain" a great deal of high-tech. Some of it from Israel, but most of it from so-called American corporations. Getting the leader of the free world to hand over decades of R&D is no small feat. But, so far, we are not directly invading nations for the security of a greater Communist China. Certainly though, they must be laughing at us, as we continue to weaken even as they are gaining strength.

As Ive said I have no prejudice for or against any particular country therefore no matter which country it is, if there is spying against US citizens or against this government there should be the ability to examine and criticize. No country is more equal in my view. All should be in the line of the fire of criticism if and when there is reason to criticize. I learned this trick a few years ago. Never refuse to give out your SSN, just give them a number with a few digits transposed. Use a consistent system so you can recreate the number if you need to. Sometimes people will fight to the death to make you give a number but they'll take your bullshit number without any fuss at all. I guess this is sort of a ju-jitsu maneuver.
Not registering your car does more for you than anything. Mine got ripped off about ten years ago. I was pretty broke at the time so I bought a junker and drove it for a year w/o registering it. I liked that so the next year I bought another $800 dollar wonder and did the same thing. I had liability insurance but I never registered anything. Just buy a junker with a current plate and drive careful. When the plate gets really out of date buy another junk car. I don't have credit cards. When I look in the dataabases all the data is at least ten years old. The address is the last address where I had a credit card and a registered vehicle.

Thanks for the heads up. I use Zone Alarm exclusively with a hardware firewall. That's going to change immediately. I don't trust a nation that as a rule practices racism, or any company that is headquartered there. This news needs to be spread far and wide.

That is COMPLETELY untrue. Your social security number is REQUESTED by healthcare providers but *trust me* it is not mandatory and if you refuse to provide it, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN OR WILL DO. Your insurance is billed and linked to your BIRTHDATE, not your social security. In fact, all the major players: BC BS/Anthem, CIGNA, Aetna, HealthChoice, etc etc are in process of REMOVING social security numbers from their health cards. This is in response to a national outcry (that could no longer be ignored) from citizens who wanted their PRIVACY respected and social security numbers NOT available in the healthcare databanks... HIPAA has at least ONE good angle to it... (chuckle... I hate the endless regulations imposed by that law BUT... ) Now, admittedly, it's a tad too little and YEARS too late but going forward, PRIVACY is being added back to the healthcare system. As for driver's licenses, it's NOT mandatory. In fact, even in ultra liberal Massachusetts where they like to invade EVERY aspect of your life, it's long been recognized that drivers have the RIGHT to have something other than their social security number on their license... AND DID YOU KNOW? It's ILLEGAL for anyone to REQUIRE you to consent to their copying your driver's license for the purpose of identification? They can ask for it, look at it, and document the NUMBER/DOB but not copy it unless you give PERMISSION. (Ps, DON'T give permission for copying, it contains TOO MUCH info plus a photograph)... Social security numbers have been ALLOWED to be public information but LEGALLY, they are not public information.

oh yes, I forgot this piece to my previous response... Auto sales companies ask for and copy your driver's licenses for you to TAKE a test drive alone... ASK for the copy back once you return the car. They have no right to keep the copy on file. (They aren't LEGALLY allowed to demand a copy in the first place but if you refuse, EXPECT them to refuse to let you drive off... lol)
