Now I am for BIG BIG GOVERNMENT. Here is a clue. I am not for BIG BIG GOVERNMENT. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean that you can label them as being for big government. Here is another clue. I wish most of them would die today. Im talking about congress, senttors, governors and yes I wish Obama would have a heart attack and die today. Biden too. And Pelosi. If you are on this site defending Levin, then yes, you are for big government, just as Levin, Limbaugh, and Vannity are for big government - as long as the Republicrats are in charge. I didn't bother to try and find a quote of Levin. I listened to his show for years, beginning in 2003 when it came on air, just like I did Limbaugh's. I know what I heard day in and day out and anyone who says that Levin (as well as Limbaugh) didn't "carry water" (to quote Limbaugh) for the Republicrats is either lying or never listened to his show. Levin, Limbaugh and Vannity (when he could tear his self away from talking about his favorite subject - himself) spent hours a day distracting the American people by ranting and raving about the Democans on a daily basis, even though the Republicrats had full and absolute control of the entire federal government. It was for this reason I quit listening to both Levin and Limbaugh.

Unfortunately, nobody will act on his recommendations. Name me one FedGov Department that was dismantled and destroyed since 1940. Departments absorbed into other departments don't count.

That's not the same thing. You're merely talking about which "party" is holding the power. I'm talking about the essence or makeup of the party and how it stands in relationship to its past/present platform and ideals and statements they make in comparison to actions and actual voting history. Although Zell Miller has said that the democrat party he joined is now far different from then, its essence remains similar, both in word and deed, regardless of the fact that it's moved left. It still consistently maintains its left ideological platform. OTOH, the "R" party talks the talk but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, that's all it ends up being: empty talk. They've abandoned the core principles of what actually made it different from the rats. When you look at the voting on votes that matter, they consistently vote contrary to any kind of Republican ideology or platform. They vote rat every time. Hence the reason why they are "R's" in name only and the republican party is dead.

What would impress me would be an actual plan to shrink Government. The last time an R had an actual plan as opposed to just rhetoric was 1964. When I see a plan other than "Hope and Pray for Change" (think Obama) then I'll consider it. Until then, I will continue to support third parties. Gridlock beats more statism and gridlock is now our only choice.

I posted it because I found it on the daily nigger and thought it was interesting. Did you watch the video? If you did do you agree or disagree with what he said? Mark Levin has a solid conservative record as far as I can tell. I think he was for the war. A lot of people who opposed the war and oppose the war do so because they don't want "war for Israel" or however they phrase it. I have never seen Levin promoting big government. I have heard him support the war. So it would stand to reason that if someone has a beef with him that is on the "conservative" side it would be because he supported the war. I opposed the war and oppose the war. But I can see why some people would support the war if they genuinely felt threatened by muslims. So I can take his positions on the constitution which he seems consistent on (no one has been to post any proof that he is for big government) and agree with him on those points. I don't think anyone should disagree to much with what he is talking about in the above video.

So you are saying that Reagan Republicanism is dead. Or Taft Republicanism is dead. I can agree with you on that for the most part. There are still those kinds of Republicans but they seem to be the minority.

Personally I think he is right. The American people, be they democans or republicrats are going to vote for whomever offers them the biggest tit to suck on at election time. Just look at the actions of grassroots republicrats this last election cycle. After cheerleading and defending every big government action between 2000 - 2008, they awarded those big government actions by relecting more than 95% of them!
