What would impress me would be an actual plan to shrink Government. The last time an R had an actual plan as opposed to just rhetoric was 1964. When I see a plan other than "Hope and Pray for Change" (think Obama) then I'll consider it. Until then, I will continue to support third parties. Gridlock beats more statism and gridlock is now our only choice.

I thought I directed that comment to someone named noone and not you.
I posted it because I found it on the daily nigger and thought it was interesting. Did you watch the video? If you did do you agree or disagree with what he said? Mark Levin has a solid conservative record as far as I can tell. I think he was for the war. A lot of people who opposed the war and oppose the war do so because they don't want "war for Israel" or however they phrase it. I have never seen Levin promoting big government. I have heard him support the war. So it would stand to reason that if someone has a beef with him that is on the "conservative" side it would be because he supported the war. I opposed the war and oppose the war. But I can see why some people would support the war if they genuinely felt threatened by muslims. So I can take his positions on the constitution which he seems consistent on (no one has been to post any proof that he is for big government) and agree with him on those points. I don't think anyone should disagree to much with what he is talking about in the above video.
I'm talking about the essence or makeup of the party and how it stands in relationship to its past/present platform and ideals and statements they make in comparison to actions and actual voting history. So you are saying that Reagan Republicanism is dead. Or Taft Republicanism is dead. I can agree with you on that for the most part. There are still those kinds of Republicans but they seem to be the minority.

No, I'm saying that the Republican party which concerned itself with our country's sovereignty, held the Constitution and the Rule of Law as the supreme authorities over all issues, and from which it is to be guided, is dead.
