Levin is a hypocrite that has been suckin Hannity's johnson for as long as I can remember. The repubs are trying to breathe life into their own corpse. Most of these jackals say what's right to retain, or in the case of the repubs, regain their lost influence and then they'll do the same shit they've always done ... shit on the CONstitutiopn.

That isn't intelligent. That is a dream. Both parties will continue. Count on i. Fantasy isn't reality.
They were extinct in 1992 too. Then 1994 it seemed the Dems were gone. Then Clinton won again in 96. Then it was the pukes again in 2000. Now it is the Dems turn. Neither party will die anytime soon.
That's not the same thing. You're merely talking about which "party" is holding the power.
I'm talking about the essence or makeup of the party and how it stands in relationship to its past/present platform and ideals and statements they make in comparison to actions and actual voting history.
Although Zell Miller has said that the democrat party he joined is now far different from then, its essence remains similar, both in word and deed, regardless of the fact that it's moved left. It still consistently maintains its left ideological platform.
OTOH, the "R" party talks the talk but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, that's all it ends up being: empty talk. They've abandoned the core principles of what actually made it different from the rats. When you look at the voting on votes that matter, they consistently vote contrary to any kind of Republican ideology or platform. They vote rat every time. Hence the reason why they are "R's" in name only and the republican party is dead.

So you are saying that Reagan Republicanism is dead. Or Taft Republicanism is dead. I can agree with you on that for the most part. There are still those kinds of Republicans but they seem to be the minority.
