Diane's favorite song !

Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces.

Yes, I like Cajun-Coonass-Zydeco music, too.

It was the toughest decision I ever had to make whether or not to stay in Lafayette, Louisiana or move on to DE when Wifey and I were moving back from CA.

Down there music is an important part of the culture and I really loved that. But, the whole time we stayed (and I gigged) Hurricane Juan was looming and the oppressive humidity was just awful, not to mention the generally lower wages of the South, so, we came to this musical wasteland.

And, Lafayette was also destroyed by Katrina, so....

works fine for me - one of this mysteries of the internet.

So few months ago we got grannie - my mother in law- from Lake Charles - to move up here with Sue and I in Colorado Springs, after several of her husbands passed.

It has been a challenge - I am seeing some of the famous Mother/Daughter stuff that I have famously heard about come to fruitition.

WOW - I think I'll put on my welder's gloves and handle the weasels for a diversion.

I'm betting that an allergy test would reveal that you're allergic to local hardwoods and pollen producing plants, perhaps even phragmites.

And that is one miserable existence.

NOTE TO SELF: Keep my Stradivarius in the case when jamming in Louisiana.

I really like south Louisiana, I have some family from Avoyelles Parish which is a bit north of Lafayette. The weather is awful hot and humid, but the people are so nice, very funny and warm-hearted.

I remember when her husband passed away and you and your wife went to Lake Charles, it was a sad time and if I remember right it was a difficult trip.

It came through just fine.

I once told a French guy the French in Louisiana called themselves "coonass" and he told me that word meant "stupid."

It made me laugh. Take an insult and make it your own.
