My bank has a sign on the door -- "No Hats, No Sunglasses, No Hoods." It's stupid, since no crimimal is going to see the sign and think, "Golly, I can't go in there with this hood and sunglasses, even if I have a sawed-off 12-gauge pump under my coat."

I nearly always wear a baseball-type cap. This morning I was standing at the counter filling out a check deposit slip, and the guard wanders over and asks me to take off my hat.

I looked at him and said, "I put my money in this bank so I can be told to take off my hat?"

He said it was company policy.

I told him, "Not anymore it's not, since because of what you just said to me, I'm closing my account down."

He looked a little shocked and walked away.

Then I closed my account down and explained why to the lady. She didn't have much to say.

Turtle has no tolerance for stupidity.

My husband wears his hat and sunglasses into our back which also has such a sign. Nothing has ever been said to him though. I think his attitude would be much the same.
