I'm with you all on indentured servitude.

However, a draft might be a necessary compromise that would put a dent in the elite's propensity for fighting unlimited police actions.

If every mother's son was on the hook, and the government could no longer rely on hired guns to do the job, it might put a damper on some of our open ended international misadventures.

Just a thought.

Jim, think back to the draft days and the post draft days. Maybe it's me, but the draft days sure were a cure for obesity and the general dizziness of the kids today. I'm not saying gather them up and fight foreign ward, but the dicipline kids received sure was a positive in lots of respects.

Back when, some judges would give guys a choice between the military and the lock down for not so serious offenses, in the hope that they would get things turned around in their lives.
