Freudian slip there, I think. This event is a farce. The time to have stopped what has already destroyed this country as a going concern was starting about 30 years ago. WAY too much damage has been done. These people would do better to spend their time on survivalism skills at this point. So would I, for that matter. Our "tea party" was a block away from my office. I didn't bother, mainly because I can't stand being around most of the people this type of event attracts. Very few of them had a problem with the federal spending while Bushco was blowing it on the bogus wars.

The ringleader ("teabagger in chief"?) here collected well into the six figures for 17 months working in the Green Zone a few years ago for one of Little Lord Pissy Pant's favorite no-bid contractors, KBR. Irony and hypocrisy just doesn't register with most of these folks. War (on anything and everything for any reason or for no reason) is "righteous" federal spending which doesn't count against the deficit or add to the debt.

You are right. I oppose the GOPers with every fiber of my being and I only oppose the Dems with about half the fiber of my being. That's based on the fact the GOPers have been in power for about twice as long over the last 30 years as the Dems have. But I don't vote for either of them. I don't vote, period. I wised up. Politics is a farcical spectator sport to me. The GOPers aren't even funny. At least you can get a few laughs out of Ted Kennedy and the like, although it's not good to laugh at a man dying from cancer. You might not mind, though.
