Well kids, I saw this on ewe toob and then did a little research: HARMONY CENTRAL REVIEW OF TTM GUITARS Summary Similar Products Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar @ Musician's Friend Musicians Gear Deluxe Electric Guitar Case @ Musician's Friend Line 6 HD150 Guitar Amp Head with Spider III 4x12 Cabinet @ Musician's Friend Manufacturer URL http://ttmguitars.com/ Features 5.9 (7 responses) Sound 5.3 (7 responses) Action, Fit, & Finish 4.7 (7 responses) Reliability/Durability 5.3 (7 responses) Customer Support 5.7 (6 responses) Overall Rating 5.0 (7 responses) Product: TTM Guitars Devastator Price Paid: 500 Submitted 04/07/2009 at 03:29pm by LongChops Features : 1 Badly routed basswood body with wafer thin maple laminate top Cheap and nasty pickups H/H Possibly the cheapest most unstable licenced floyd every produced Cheap wilkinson tuners MIC mini pots / 3 way switch of similarly ****-poor quality Reverse headstock with badly printed logo 24 fret neck but you cant actually hit any of the top 8 without severe discomfort. Sound : 1 Sounds truly awful; the pickups distort even on a clean channel, they distort because they are cheap though, not because they are hot. Volume is either on or off, all between 9/10 of the travel of the dial. pickup switch was bent in transit, but looks/feels **** as well. Absolutely no sonic definition to the sound at all. Just what you would expect when you fuse together the poorest quality parts with the poorest quality workmanship. Action, Fit, & Finish : 1 Terrible set up from factory, the worst Ive ever seen. So much fret buzz; it is impossible to cure as well, no matter how high the action is. The whole thing is a symphony of buzzes, rattles and playing a note on one is much like rubbing ones nails down a blackboard. Utter, utter sh*t. Words cannot begin to decribe just how bad this hideous, stinking turd of a guitar really is. The back of the neck is really smooth, and feels really nice; that and the fact it looks pretty cool from about 20 metres are the only good things I could say about this instrument, and thats no joke. The paint finish is awful, full of blemishes, dust and dirt inclusions, is damaged in places and even looks like has been fillered in places too. The routing looks like it was done by someone on the back of a pickup truck while driving down a bumpy road at 60mph; inconsistent, messy, and my guess is primary school woodwork classes the world over could achieve better than this with a plank of wood and a dremel. The neck is unfinished at the top and rough to the touch; I have never before experienced a guitar that could give you splinters from playing it. Absolutely Unf**king believable. Reliability/Durability : 1 This quite simply is the biggest heap of turd I have ever encountered, people say its worth it for $300 etc DON'T BELIEVE A WORD OF IT this is of such poor quality it is not worth a ****, any guitar you could buy for $100 or less will be of better quality and last longer. Show me something worse. In over 15 years of playing, this is without a shadow of a doubt the worst production guitar I ever have had the misfortune to play. Even in the 10 minutues I was able to stand it for one of the strings snapped. I have no faith in it, it has no purpose as a musical instrument. Customer Support : No Opinion Overall Rating : 1 Been playing for over 15 years, this guitar does not even deserve to share wallspace with my Jackson Kelly (MIJ). This is precisely how bad it is. The Jackson just ****es all over it, in all areas, and that is too a low cost guitar for the same money. The TTM Devastator is a fine example of how NOT to build a guitar. Total, total ****. Unacceptable. Product: TTM Guitars Devastator Price Paid: UNKNOWN Submitted 03/28/2009 at 04:28am by FeeLV Features : 8 I own an 2009 Devastator guitar. Description says that it's made in USA. It's a superstrat. It has 24 frets, set maple neck, basswood body and quilt maple (?) top. 2 passive humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone, 3 way switch. Humbuckers are TTM made, they call them "Headbangbuckers". Maple fretboard. Licensed Floyd Rose tremolo, Wilkinson tuners. Sound : 1 This does'nt sound like it looks. Reverse head, floyd rose, 24 fret neck make you think about metal and hard rock but it sounds like cheapest chinese guitars, no punch, no lows, no great clean sound. It has a cheapest electronics inside, no shielding at all. Another one amazing thing that neck is set, but sustain is very low. Tremolo is one big piece of s**t, it does'nt stay in tune. That guitar sounds worse than Schecter and Dean guitars (it was cheap guitar, not top of the line). I was trying that axe thru 100 watt tube head and 4*12 cab and thru small tube and solid state amps. Action, Fit, & Finish : 1 Guitar does'nt have any setup at all. (for me it's not a problem , maybe that was made because i live outside of the USA). It was just a parts screwed together. Bridge routing is terrible. Bridge rear cover just screwed directly to the body like on the cheapest guitars. Tremolo sucks, two times strings just go out from tremolo. The "best" thing of that guitar was completely UNFINISHED fretboard. Just wood and nothing more, unsanded wood. All guitar made very careless. Terrible! Reliability/Durability : 1 I did'nt want to go on stage with that guitar and espesially play on a gig without backup. Customer Support : 1 Very strange thing: i was talking with Lance and he was very helpful until payment. After payment he did'nt answer to my emails and did'nt ship guitar in time. He promise that shipping will be express mail, but send it by priority mail. After month of waiting i recieve a poor packaged carton box and guitar not of color i was ordering! It was different color :) Another thing that we discuss that he throw an additional humb to try it on different guitars and guess what? Yes, you right: NO HUMBUCKER! (I'm dyin here! _HD) Overall Rating : 1 I have a lot of guitars because i sell, fix and upgrade them. I will never buy another one TTM guitar and never tell a friend to choose that guitar. Product: TTM Guitars Devastator Price Paid: USD 400 Submitted 03/22/2009 at 11:13pm by AJ Email: seal777 at maccom Features : 1 Guitar has a cheap bridge. It appears to have some Floyd similarities, but in no way should be confused with an actual Licensed FR. The strings pull right out of the saddle. That is correct - after tuning this guitar 3 times with a floating system, you get to look forward to nearly all the strings pulling out. I have played real Floyds for over 26 years - this was simply poor craftsmanship. Cheap metal, cheap design. Lance Benedict is a joke. This guy claims to play guitar with some Planet 13 group - he didn't set up any of the guitars I received. They were all piss poor quality. Sound : 1 You can never truly hear the sound as the strings won't remain in the sadddle. Anyone giving this guitar or any TTM guitar a rating of more than 3 is probably Lance or his friends. When I tuned the guitar up and didn't use the tremelo bar, it produced a sound with lots of tint and No bottom. Of course you can option up for better pickups. Action, Fit, & Finish : 2 So so action, light on the weight and the finish was not bad for an import. Reliability/Durability : 1 NO WAY - reliability means you must depend on TTM for customer service and since Lance Benedict has moved out of the TTM shop, moved from his personal home, I wouldn't depend on any support. These guitars are imports. When problems happen (and they have and will), forget any help - you are on your own. Customer Support : 1 He's moved out of his Shop - He's no longer at his Jeri lane address - Stay away from TTM and don't ever do business with Lance Benedict. Overall Rating : 1 This guitar company is a scam - It's all smoke and mirrors. They basically sell on ebay. They sell "franchises" to Americans and provide no support, and ultimately compete against you. TTM will sell guitars to anyone, anytime, anywhere. They do not respect legal Agreements, they are not trying to build a business - ask any of the US Franchise/Dealers. (BWAAAAAAAAAH!!)
Poster Comment: So, is this the same Lance Benedict who sells BMWs? Report: BMG Motors - Derrin Harvey - Lance Benedict Category: Auto Dealers "The short of it
I bought a 1995 BMW M3 from them at the end of November. Promised paperwork from the ad (detailed service records) was never delivered. Three months later, I still don't have the registration or plates. The CD changerclaimed to be workingis broken and needs to be replaced. When I took it in for an oil change and quick inspection, it needed about $2000 of repairs. Most shocking of all was some of these were so obviousand dangerousthat my mechanic was stunned that these problems were not disclosed to me. He wouldn't let me drive away because he didn't want to feel responsible for any accident that might happen. He was surprised the seller lacked the conscience to let me drive away. The rims were terribly bent and the tires were nearly bald, especially on the inside, with one of them having a huge crack on the inner wall that was about to come apart any time. My mechanic said I was lucky to be alive (or at least unwrecked). When I called BMG with these concernsall the damage that was undisclosed in the adthey were completely disingenuous and unwilling to at least a compromise (I didn't ask for full reimbursement for the repairsI left the decision to them to see how responsible they are). They wouldn't even admit their fault. They tried to claim I made the damage, a ridiculous and defensive action. All they said was they might" be able to get me a discount on a new CD changer. Okay, now for some details
At first they were fairly responsive. The Ebay ad came with outrageous claims about the stellar condition of the car (see below for their quotes). I was a little wary of such claims, and I stated my concerns to the seller. He told me over the phone that he would get his BMW expert mechanic" to do another thorough inspection, write down the results, and give them to me when we met to make the transaction. When we met, he didn't have it. He also didn't have the detailed service records from the previous owner. He said he would send them to me later (but didn't, of course). After a quick look at the car, I drove away. The first thing I noticed is that the CD changer in the trunk was broken. Talking with BMW mechanics, they said it would be over $200 to fix. I emailed BMG about this, but got no response. When it came time for an oil change, I took it to a mechanic and had him do a quick inspection while he was at it. He came back with a long list of needed repairs, including the ones mentioned above. These were mostly mandatory repairs, not cosmetic/optional. Now what gets me is that none of this was disclosed to me. To me, they have been irresponsible, dishonest, negligent, and customer unfriendly. Here are some quotes from the Ebay ad (see below for the whole ad text): We are rating this

By the way, does BMW know that you are claiming to have the authority to state a certified pre-owned BMW inspection"? I think I'll write them and ask.
