We hear so many stories of people who are 'shot by cops' with the police allegedly 'defending themselves' against someone who they claim was 'using their car as a weapon'. This is one of those cases, except for the fact that this gunshot victim didn't die. Shot and bleeding profusely, Vincent Arias feared for his life and fled in his car, escaping police. He was aphrended a few days later, when his wife revealed his hideout after police threatened to have their kids taken by CPS. Charged with "attempted murder on a police officer" and "assault with a deadly weapon" (his car), Arias faced over 60 years in prison, a sure death sentence. Held in the infamous 'twin towers' jail in Los Angeles for nearly two years on over a million dollars bail, Arias used his faith and grit to beat the system. Firing all his crooked inept lawyers and aided by the help of a wise cellmate, Arias encountered all sorts of DAs, judges, sheriffs and clerks who all seemed to be against him. When the time came for the verdict to be read, the jury aquitted Arias of all charges and he is now a free man. He wrote a memoir, 'SHOT IN REVERSE, SAVED BY GOD', a riveting emotional account of his experiences. A truly inpirational success story for everyone who cherishes liberty.

Vincent will be on with Christie Czajkowski [of TruthBrigade.com] on AmericanFreedomRadio.com Tonight at 6PP Pacific. Call in number is (512)879-3805.

His site is ShotInReverse.Info.

check out the photos of his car. this guy is one cool character and a good friend of mine. Truly amazing story. the youtube interview above, which i made about a year ago, i think is probably the best i have made. if more people fought back like him instead of folding out of laziness or fear, our country would surely be a better place.

Great story.

pro per

A term derived from the Latin in propria, meaning "for one's self," used in some states to describe a person who handles her own case without a lawyer. In other states, the term pro se is used. When a nonlawyer files his own legal papers, he is expected to write "in pro per" at the bottom of the heading on the first page.

the pig cop who tried to murder this guy had all sorts of civil rights and abuse lawsuits filed against him by people, including a memorable suit filed by a family who was forced to stand in the cold rain outdoors, with their elderly sickly grandmother who was near naked, while they did a drug raid (it was the wrong house). i believe the grandma died in the aftermath of it all from the stress.

damn. Just damn.

You know, there comes a point where I almost get jaded when it comes to things like this. Then something like this comes along and the rage starts building again, and I start looking forward to open season on pigs. They will then find out that we aren't little old women. It's coming. I just don't know when.

Let me guess. That pig got a promotion.

Thanks, Artisan, for the inspiring story. I've subscribed to your list.

Thank god for the jury system. It's taken the courage of many generations to keep the right to trial by jury alive, and t's remarkable that it has survived through the most oppressive periods of English history and through many dark chapters of our own. We've got to do our damndest to see that it survives.

I hope that I have Vincent Arias' courage should I have to defend myself some day. I guess we often fight hardest when our backs are to the wall. As Dr. Samuel Johnson said: "The prospect of hanging concentrates the mind wonderfully."

By the way is pro per the same as pro se?

glad you liked it. the guy is an inspiration for all of us. you ought to hear this story it is disgusting, this guy has grit. the system is truly evil the way they f*&^ with everyone and try to supress evidence etc/. he ignored the judges orders and mentioned all the things he was not supposed to and they kept stopping him. the jury saw thru it all. LOL!.

and yes see #2 above. pro se/ pro per same thing.

Excellent expose of the filthy, Evil and corrupt workings of every level of the LegalIndustrialComplex in this country which is the father of lies; the personification of evil; they who would bear false witness (testi-LIE) against ANYone who does not bow to them in order to get a conviction whilst hiding behind the badges, robes and the color of religion as if they are somehow gods. These men controlled by the very principalities they profess to fight, do not make Peace, nor can the Bible cover for their deeds. TheSystem isn't about Justice; it's not about the Truth; it's not about Forgiveness. It's about vindictiveness, quotas, revenge, control, power and money.

It takes a real low life to kill - or try to kill - another human being when the pigs were not really in fear of their lives (and I would bet my life on that) because they knew they could get away with it. ("He put it in reverse!") Do you know how many times I could have LEGALLY SHOT someone in the line of duty - but didn't - because 1. I was not in real fear of my life and 2. there were always alternatives?

Me and another unit were on a domestic disturbance call with no injuries/no assault (only tempers) and the wife who called was outside. The door was open and the irate husband was on the inside. We peeked inside only because the door was open (we wouldn't have even knocked in this situation otherwise; not true of today's pigs) to be sure he wasn't pointing a weapon at us and this musclehead picked up what must have been a 20 gallon size glass jar full of change and held it over his head and threatened to throw it at us if we came inside his home. He was about 15 feet away. My partner drew down. I did not reciprocate which caused my partner to pause long enough for me to hold out my hand in front of him motioning him to cool his jets. I told the husband he was right and we had no intention of coming inside and bid him a good evening closing the front door as we backed off. The wife found family to stay with, was not assaulted or injured in any way, and lives were saved. (Not to mention the honoring of the human right of the man to his own home.) As much as I am glad I'm not out there anymore, I'm glad that I was for a time. It took me a lot of years to realize how many more lives I saved by what I did not do rather than what I did do. And that is how all Peace Officers should think. The problem is, they are practically extinct.

The police department is a product of politics and as it exists today. They have truly become a Palace Guard. I was broken in by WWII guys, on their way out to retirement. This is just my theory, but I believe they had seen enough killing in their lifetimes to want no more of it. Deadly physical force was the last option, and rarely used except by the scum who were soon ID'd and shunned by the rest of us. Today, after a decade of watching COPS, and having the military as mentors, most active cops resemble nothing I recall.
