GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) - Grants Pass police arrested 10 people, including six juveniles as young as 12, in a downtown brawl they say may have had white supremacist and neo-Nazi overtones.

Lt. Bill Landis said the Saturday night fight involved up to 20 people, and broke out when someone yelled at three people riding by on bicycles. The fight eventually spread over a couple blocks, though no property damage was reported.

Landis said some people were yelling racial slurs and giving the Nazi salute, which allowed for hate crime charges to be brought against some of those arrested. He added that all seven police officers on duty, plus a few more, were needed to break things up.

The Daily Courier newspaper reported police charged four young adults with riot and disorderly conduct. Subscribe to *Jack-Booted Thugs*

These things have to be nipped in the Steinkrug. So who got hurt? Who started it? If the situation was that illegals/blacks beat whites no one would hear about it. The system has stopped working for us, so the question is when is enough, enough?

I would be shocked, really really shocked if Grant's Pass had more then a few blacks living there.

Southwestern Oregon is an interesting place, they actively and aggressively attempted to wipe out Indians from that area. It was so bad, it was those who wanted to protect Indians who aggressively pushed to get them safely on a reservation down there.

I just asked a man I know who is here how many blacks he's seen in Grants Pass, and he said none.

Grant's Pass is hippie less, filled with tweekers, and people who like beer, guns and V8s. It is a white trash paradise.

He said people who think Medford is too liberal for them move to Grant's pass.

Relax, we here in little old Eugene and Grants Pass have traded words of endearment like this for decades. They think of Eugene as Hippie trash and we return the favor.

Grants Pass is OK on many levels, and I have spent much time there planting trees and fighting fires. I go with a girl who's Mom had a store in a small town in the App legate Valley down there, and when I was posting about Grants Pass last time, her, a Friend also from down there and I were prompted to talking in fond reminiscence about Grants Pass and I quoted what we all were saying about the joint directly.

She is also originally from Houston, TX and you should hear what she says about that state from the perspective of a very liberal Texas refugee. It makes what she says about Grants Pass seem quite mild and harmless in comparison. ;-)

Anything bad said about Houston is true, I've always said that a wall should be built around that city to keep in the trash (human) and roaches. But, Houston is not Texas and vice-versa. The rest of the state rejects Houston.

That is reassuring to hear. Her dad is upper management in an oil company there, so she actually had an extremely comforatable life when she lived there.

She has told me that I would not do well in Texas outside of Austin, and having been to Texas, I know she is right. ;-)
