I believe all of this is due to the waning influence of Christianity (by the way, I think Jesus meant to destroy the sordid, false "religion" of Judaism, contrary to those deluded Christian Zionists), but as to how far the influence of these pagans will extend, I do not know. People will always have religion, because they need it, so it is essential. Even atheism is a religion -- you need look no further than the fanatic Richard Dawkins. Right now, we are ending up with something very weird in the U.S. - a government composed of atheists or agnostics, who have a lot of contempt for the religion of the unwashed masses, and a lot of Evangelicals and Northern European pagans joining the military. What this bodes I do not know, but what is coming certainly looks to be interesting.
