Most of the "birthers" though, were not fans of Souter to begin with.
Souter was a political orphan, nominated by G.H.W. Bush as a "strict constructionist" and then disowned by the "movement" after he proved not to be.
I still cannot believe the "movement" was stupid enough to elect Bush's idiot son (twice nationally, four times in Texas) to office after witnessing the treacherous Poppy for so long before that.
