It doesn't matter because humans are not able to destroy all life on earth. Humans may be able to destroy 90% of life on earth and all humans mammals and birds. However, even if we could destroy 99% of all species, is less than 100 years the total mass of life on earth would be similar to the current mass of life on earth and, although, perhaps not intelligent life as we define it, in less than 50 millions years, the earth would be full and all kinds of species.

Therefore, excluding those of us alive now, war doesn't matter because life will continue.
