Woman who tried to flush newborn gets probation, parenting classes

by Elizabeth Tyree Wednesday, May 8th 2019

Sarah Jane Lockner (San Mateo County Sheriff's Office)

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (WSET) -- A 27-year-old California woman won't serve jail time after entering a plea to charges she tried to drown her newborn.

Sarah Lockner tried to drown her baby in the toilet after giving birth in a McDonald's bathroom during her shift in September 2017.

Prosecutors said a co-worker who went to check on Lockner found the baby face down in the toilet bowl and Lockner was holding him down.

Police were called and thankfully the baby was taken to the hospital where he survived.

Mercury News reported that she was originally charged with attempted murder, but pleaded no contest to felony child endangerment in January.

The judge placed Lockner on four years probation and ordered to complete parenting classes.

The baby is living with the father's aunt, according to prosecutors.

She should have been sterilized in exchange for walking from attempted murder.

Not the nurturing type at all.

So what? She made it so she should own it. It is no different then someone carving a baby out of a block of wood and then throwing it in the fire. He or she made, so they own it. Later, after other have invested time or money in helping the baby grow, they can rightfully claim an interest.

The live baby is a sentient being. The block of wood is not. ;)

The live baby is a sentient being.

So is a baby chick. However, if you buy a fertililized egg, incubate it, and hatch it, you own it. Even more, I don't want the state claiming ownership of all babies and interfering with natural selection. The state is a lousy protector of babies. The best protector of mammal babies, human or otherwise, is their parents and usually parents are far superior to the state.

When the state gets involved, babies from parents with defective genes survive and grow up with those defective genes increasing the percentage of defective genes. However, without the state getting involved, children with such parents that kill their babies are less likely to survive and produce more of the same.

The difference between us is you want the state to own and be the protector of children. I want the parents to own and be the protector of children.

When the birth is registered, the State has an interest in the baby. You cannot change it.

Our birth certificates have been hypothecated, bundled, and put out on the market as securities.

When the death certificate is filed, the State closes the account and makes the profit.

These are the commercial rules. And under those rules, we are all debtors unless you are the Secured Party. ;)

How is it even possible?

WTF is wrong with the DA and the judge that allowed this to happen? Both should be removed from office.

Sex Pistols

We worked them at the Aragon Ballroom in '96. I know a girl on Facebook and last year she said she was there a few weeks earlier. We did Pearl Jam at Soldier Field the same year. ;)

We were there to make sure that NO FANS got onstage. Once in a while someone did and we had to deal with it. ;)

One time at a Mexican show, this guy jumped the barricade down front. The guys grabbed him and handed him to me on stage left in front of the speaker stack. I grabbed him by his hair on back of his head and pulled him thru.

I put him in a headlock and was walking him down the ramp behind the stage so I could throw him out. He made a move to try and get out of the headlock. All he did was take my feet out from under me. He went down on the concrete face first. Then my shoulder hit the back of his head. He got the double thump.

The crowd started throwing trash at us. We were hollering for the guy by the entrance to the dressing rooms, "Get up here."

We picked him up and took him to the medics. We told them, "When you are done patching him up, make sure he is ejected." ;)

Doesn't apply is subject case. Birth was not registered.

Birth was not registered.

Right, it was a newborn in the ladies room. But still, only 4 years probation and parenting classes? The Judge needs his head examined. ;)

Pearl Jam at Soldier Field

Pearl Jam was the same stage as Woodstock 94. When the crowd started to body surf there was no way to keep them off the front of the stage.

There was a barricade out in the crowd with 10 or 12 guys standing around doing nothing. I called the supervisor there on the radio and told him, "Send half your crew up on the front of the stage to help out."

The whole time my boss was hollering he didn't want anyone on the front of the stage. I told him, "You're not going to be able to keep them off. It's going to be just like Woodstock."

He was not there so he didn't know what it was like. ;)
